Today I spent a bit of time trying to provide an example and some motivation for CLs to get on with being CLs instead of just enjoying the rank & title.  Maybe it is just me, but I got seriously ****ed off with Jim's responses.

Firstly he just voted and said nothing which was clearly not what I was aiming at.  I can forgive this as I did not explicitly say 'state your reasons', but I had hoped for better.

Then having read the my prompt post about detail required he then casts aspersions about all healers and lets the raid know he watches TV whilst raiding and gets bored during boss fights and tunes into the TV show instead of the boss fight!

Sorry, but someone that stupidly insensitive is not CL material.

Ban me, kick me, do whatever, but his sheer ignorance and cba attitude amazes me.

Maybe I am just being too old, too grumpy and need a break from younger people.

Well, yep, as coming from a rather youthful generation I play the overplayed "he's young" card again.

Though I can't really defend him watching TV (which is abit absurd to say the least), he is entitled to his opinion on the matter of the scorpid sting. No offense intended here but if you didn't want backtalk then what's the point in setting up a discussion ;-)

He did not really clarify why it should not be up though. The cba attitude is a flaw of being young (not just relating to WoW but in total). He's a great player and has amazing reaction time. For example I'm pretty sure the TV would not distract him from his game, although that still doesn't make it a good thing in principle.

Just he is young and I think that prevents him from seeing the bigger picture at times, like the use of these discussions. I for one think they're a great idea since it makes people think about stuff.

I have no problem with debate, unfortunately despite knowing full-well from the CL section that I was trying to promote a discussion and greater activity from the CLs he to pile in with the sum-total of his youthful knowledge and just vote 'No'.

When challenged to justify the monosyllabic 'No' answer he decided to ask me to count the number of bosses after Kologarn (which he failed to manage successfully himself) and then justified his reply further by explaining that it helped him to not watch TV and to focus on the raid if the MT was not properly buffed.  Perhaps DMR should use his infinite wisdom to not buff the MT at all as following his fantastic logic and naked unbuffed tank might really help the raid performance and keep the healers awake!  How bloody rude can he be?

I note the 'he's young' card being raised again.  Again.  However he has played that joker more times than I care to remember.  The number of members he has upset and ****ed off and we promote him.  I've personally had to pull him to one side and explain things to him as have other people in DMR.  The number of people who just put him on ignore form time to time when he gets too much.  The 'young' card has been played too often and once again he is suntering off into the sunset with no consequences cluttering future and and no thoughts cluttering his brain.

Perhaps we should send him back to kindergarten to grow up some more and then we would not have to wave the 'young' card any more.

I know I am using this forum topic as a place to let off steam.  But honestly, the guy is momumentally stupid to have made such comments (again) and fails so many dMw standards it is untrue.

Right or wrong I have got used to him
As long as he is not spoiling other peoples enjoyment

The funny thing is that he is now going to coach Lunares on healing when he has still not bothered to learn how to play his own spec as a healer.  That's kind of amusing in a /facepalm sort of way.

I have to disagree about that. Purely looking at his performance in raid he is a very good healer and he's one of few I trust my tanky buttocks to when it comes to keeping them polished *cough* Well.. you know what I mean. Despite one glyph being off he's one of our top healers, from what I've seen so far that is.

That said there is alot of ehh.. call it social... flaws to him, but every time we try to fix them it seems to work only temporarily.

Although I have to side with Jas here, I've gotten used to it, and so have alot of other people I think. Haven't had any issues about him popping up in a loooong time now.

It's not just his glyph.  30 seconds of googling would teach you to regem.  Anyway, allow me to lambast him without him being defended, it makes me happy and allows the steam to blow away.

have to agree with TL on this one..if not fully..We have to keep in mind we are not a hardcore raiding guild. But Jim saying hes bored at certain boss fight and goes watching TV is unexceptable to me...especially as hes a CL and even more so saying it in public...giving others a reason to do it aswell..or even the idea of doing it.

The fact we are 'used' to his childish behaviour is even wors imo cos it rly means he hasnt changed but we have. I agree with the fact he a very good player (one of the best healers im not sure of but it could be cos of his spec, but i dont see him at the top of the healers list that often...never seen him there tbh, but as stated could be cos of his build), he knows his spells and job during the fights..so its mainly his attitude wich seems to be the prob, cos i honeslty cant believe his watching TV whyle we are in a Boss fight...

ye that is what I've heard, he said it in gchat while I was tanking in FoS so didn't see exactly what he typed but from what I've heard from gandalf he transfered his priest to another realm to play with some IRL friends
Maybe there\'s something to be said for being different. We are who we are. What more could we ask for?

....which if I may be allowed to translate probably means:

"I applied to another realm's raiding guild having already been turned down on Aszune, but do not want to suffer the ignominy of having people on this realm know if I fail trial"

He's done a cross realm transfer to be with some RL friends is what he told me.

Basically, that's it for Jim. His alts are still in the guild and as a social member that is fine. But his raiding days are over. We are actively recruiting again and are getting some fresh blood in to fill out the spaces.
