If the in-game comms turn out to be acceptable then it's best to use them in preference to TS as it gives us the opportunity to demonstrate how we promote teamwork.

Sorry I could not manage on over the weekend. The in game voice seems to be variable. I assume (hopefully) like BF2 it will have different levels of quality that can be set. I do prefer ventrilo over TS but it makes no difference as long as it is good. There is nothing to stop opening a guest account in either and posting the details in server messages or the website if you want people to join it. Once people go to the trouble of registering then they can get the guest access.

I am now 26 hours into the game and the more I play it with freinds the better it is getting. I do have a couple of short clips from fraps using 5760 x 1080 but when I put them on youtube the qulity was crap. I will need to see how to upload at a better quality but there are thousands of clips out there now take a look. I cannot recommend this game enough. It does prefer quad cores at the moment but Dice have said they will optimize so dual cores are not hit as hard.

Finally got a clip of half decent quality on youtube. Only 30 seconds as that is all free fraps allows. My FPS dips to below when recording a video at this resolution funnily.

after tonight's play with Magnus Paddy and Ranger there's no doubt it's a team game. Squads are a must and a good balance in team members is important as well.

I've come across a couple of spoilers already whom c4 your own bases and destry them. Hopefully DICE will sort that "feature" out.

I would stress that the importance will be on good Admins in-game. Not for the "occasional" admin tbh as I think in the early days it will matter.

I'm approaching 5th rank and weapons are starting to get better. I've stayed with Engineer most of the time and the unlocks are coming in as I progress. There are a few unlocks like the shotty which are applied to all ranks which is good. I think as you progress you'll specialize once and a while. I received 6k xp for playing on a squad for a certain amount of time. That's a good sign.

I think a well-managed server with the focus on good quality recruitment of the right type of player could work for dMw. Could be a platform to launch the new website off of (if it's Ready???!!!).

Most of the people in here dont need to be told how to play as a squad or as a team but this is a pretty good video on "how not to be a noob" Based on console game but everything bar UAV machine gun is the same.

Didn't know the UAV had a machine gun. Most of the rest of the stuff I've picked up. I guess it's a lot easier not to be a n00b on the PC though.

The pc beta does not have it. It will be an unlock in the full game though. The patch does seem to have made a difference to my dual core machine at work. Was able to go up in resolution and add higher settings and still get better FPS. Hit detection better. The downside is I noticed some more lag but will need to try more servers to see what it is like over all.

So the PC Beta doesn't have the 'V ALT W' perk as an unlock?

The PS3 Demo version does, and you get it after scoring a certain number of points in vehicles. Equipping the perk at the spawn screen gives you the secondary weapons for the heavy vehicles (including the machine gun for the UAV).
