May i humbly suggest that for final Friday if the server is full we move it to around 24 players so everyone gets a go .

Cs brought me here its sad to see it go for now, i'll miss it but chin up chaps it will breath again and i can bet my last dollar valve are working on the sequel as we type these farewells.

Even keeping 1 server is too much? Give me admin powers like in de old(er) "charlie" days (just enough to change maps, and add or remove bots), and I might be able to start up games again.

Would it be so bad/complicated/against all plans to have an annual or biannual CS:S day? I mean, we all love the game, and I am sure we'd love to play a game twice a year... If I could add CS to the calendar, e.g. 1st of dec and 1st of june (I am sure there are better dates) I'd be joining those games... that much CS spirit I am sure there is still left Anyone?

We will be keeping Meathook on ice and i'm sure it could be brought out for special occasions.

I've not played CS for years but it too was what brought me to the community and only WOW has rivalled it for multi player fun and larks.

It's amazing to think it was invented by two kids sitting in their bedrooms modding on home PC's. Huge budgeted games made by multi national corporations have been and gone during Counter Strikes majestic reign.

In game years CS is actually 185! Hard to believe I know.

I haven't played ANY games for ages but CS:S is the one I come back to again and again.  I understand the reasons for letting the old man go and like many others, it was CS:S that brought me to dMw.

I too am hoping for a new CS sometime soon

Sad to hear its being dropped but i think its about time, the game is outdated and there are far better games. I won't be playing on the 7th may as its my birthday so enjoy! Hopefully i can day visit you guys at the lan.

We have now formally shut down the CS Servers (although MeatHook will remain on the BA4 for specials and LANs).

The Leader and Admin badges have been shelved and those recipients allocated green badges which have been renamed CS Veteran.

The CS forum has been move to 'It's a Game' forum but left as a top-level sub forum so it's easy to find (as it's still active).

Finally, if you were previously a Bravo or Charlie member relating to CS and would like a CS Veteran badge then please let us know and we'll check the archives and then issue accordingly.

Absolutehype was a former bravo member before the new badged system.

So i gather he can gain the cs veteran badge?

If he is eligible and any subsequent people who are, are they allowed to wear dmw tags as this is a green badge for a game so does this mean they can wear tags for say bc2?
