This section is visible to BC2 Admins *and* requires a password, a sort of double security.  Without the BC2 Admin flag then having the password does you no good and vice versa.  The forum should have been visible to BC2 Admins for days now since Smilo sorted it.

Perhaps nudging them to post something might reassure you that the team can see it - certainly some have posted already so it seems to be working fine.

Wisdom doesn\'t necessarily come with age. Sometimes age just shows up all by itself.  (Tom Wilson)
Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships. (Michael Jordan)

GhostMjr

I will pm the team.

Does the password need to be changed?

Have i missed anything?

Cheers,

  • Formal welcome by GhostMjr to Admin team and introductions around  the table if necessary.
  • Welcome to recent admins Tutonic, Lionheart and Dewey.
  • Training: Do new admins and current admins need  training with admin tools and do they have full access to clanforge,  bc2cc and guardian anything missing?
  • Admins agreed that they were happy with the what tools we used and had access to everything.
  • Often need dual screens to use them.
  • No ingame tools just yet but guardian is promising some soon.

  • Not perfect due to constant changes community leaders acknowledged that we need to use one tool and one tool only.
  • Community leaders acknowledged problems with the new game and that most games could be like this in future and the game may be given a longer trial

  • Guardian introduction, usefulness and implementation
  • Paddy, Magnus and Dewey discussed the suitablity of guardian for several  uses. GM to discuss with Valdeko (Acid) to liaise with Whitey and store  the tool on a dmw box to send data to the server 24/7 as currently the  client is only being hosted on personal pc's.
  • Valdeko to be in charge of sending tools to whitey. whitey to advise whether tool can or cannot be hosted on the server.

  • Passworded night- good thing? should we keep it if not  why not and should we run it passworded and unranked.
  • Mixed views we decided to keep the passworded night and after an initial relaunch planned for after the bedding down of cs a couple of weeks tweaking would follow to get the server up to scratch.

  • Fanbase inhouse-Have we done all that we can to grab a  fanbase for bc2 in dmw what haven't we done that we could do.
  • Gradually getting new players on board growth has now stabilised with alot of the community trying the game offline and then thinking about going online
  • Players playing individually and not joining TS.
  • TS profile to be raised in game as part of server messages once liasied with whitey and tool hosting sorted.

  • Fanbase out of house- Have we done all that we can to  grab a fanbase for bc2 in dmw what  haven't we done that we could do.  Very Slow recruitment- some 3-10 hits of regulars coming back
  • Increase of server messages and new server banner introduced to get more players in.
  • tweaking of server to remove hardcore, ff and other filters so we get the maximum player base when players click play now.
  • Box beneath banner to be reorganised GM to speak to multiplay

  • Map discussion and boundaries-
  • Decided map boundaries are already in place on the rush mode conquest alot more difficult to monitor.
  • GM thanked admins for map boundary information which helped to create a picture of what the maps play like and how we should be playing them

  • Admin Conduct and Rules- These were
  • Accepted by all
  • Admin chatter to now remain in admin TS channel only.

  • Server Rules
  • KISS- keep it simple and stupid
  • a spilt rule idea of having the detailed breakdown of rules and 4-5 short rules as a prompt card.
  • Admin tag idea suggested but this was decided against as all dmw members have the responsibility to keep the server cheat free.
  • Raising profile of chat messages unable to use server config to do such a thing as discussed with multiplay so will need to sort of a suitable set of messages for guardian to send.
  • Idea to have ask dmw members for clan details and reporting cheaters

  • Negativity within community regarding  bc2- how can we move forward and should we start removing posts as when  new users see constant moans is this a good thing?
  • Agreed it isn't the best idea to have posts of this nature but decided against removal due to potential flaming and freedom of speech.
  • Recruitment
  • Admin messages and all dmw members to actively recruit new members and acknowledge new joiners and regulars alike.
  • Gametracker initial message to be changed with an initial prompt of the community and a 2nd more lenghty post for those requiring further information

  • Longevity of Bc2- account opened 3/3/10   renewal due 3/6/10

  • Teamspeak vs ingame comms
  • Teamspeak still the better option currently new updates due imminently. Admins to use new admin channel for admin matters and players to join channels A and B.
  • Paddy/ Magnus criticised this and said that community nights we should be all in one channel
  • Tut acknowledged this and suggested more than one night in this format or one night "community night" to be tactical rest of the nights to be relaxing.

  • Allocation of work to admins and defining  admin roles within section
  • Tbag/Valdeko to monitor and change password for pword nights.
  • [/COLOR]
  • Magnus/Paddy researching of new clients

  • Any other Business AOB
  • None

  • Close of Meeting

Have missed giving anyone an admin badge GM?  As far as I can tell only big-paddy, valdeko, [BIG]magnus, T-Bag and you can see this forum (other admins aside).  You need to let Penfols know who should have the badge so that they can actually formally access this forum section.  Tutonic & Lionheart  got away with it via other forum permissions, but Dewey hasn't posted here yet because he cannot see it!
