Hello would anyone feel like whipping up a banner for Arma II to help promote our game.


Would like it to have some of the following text

Arma II

Tactical Mature Gaming Community.

I would like a couple and then if possible we can refine it and give it to the baying community to vote :)

I think something 512 x 96 will be pretty good.  And data size is not all that important to keep down it going on forums and such.  Hope that helps mate and thanks for look in to this!!!

Can i be a bit cheeky too and chip in?

When i was a section admin I decided we needed a banner for bc2.

One of the goals of the banner was to be as near to the other game banners that we have as possible.

Why?

I thought it would show dmw branding and overall cohesion of who we are.

Don't get me wrong its your section i am just saying maybe try and have it tie in with the other server banner so yours looks similar.

That does make some sense. If someone does the legwork and points me at forum posts I'll consolidate them so we have a banner thread and we can 'adjust' the content rather than the theme.

So, are we gonna head down the road of having all the game banners look roughly the same? if so can we work out what we want them to look like? I don't mind having a go at doing the banners if my poor level of skill is considered good enough to take the job on.

Yes for sure. It makes perfect sense from a community cohesion, uniformity and continuity standpoint.

Yea it's no problem for me, I've had a dig around & I've still got all the various versions of the BC2 banner I did, so if that's deemed as being suitable to use across a few games to keep the same look, it shouldn't take me too much work to swap the image & game logo & job done, 1 new banner.

Given the overwhelming response I would say.

It needs;
1.Deadmen Walking
2. a strap line relevant to the game (L4D - Nobody dies alone, BF2 - Never fight alone, WoW - A pixie is for life, not just for christmas, LFS - God may be you but I have dMw as a co-pilot)....
3. the website address

that kind of thing.
Layout the same for each, layout, text areas etc, different images and difference strap lines, possibly for each server. I'd suggest we start with listing what servers we have, what can be utilised as already in place and go from there.

I can hear cages rattling from here.
