We are getting a full server most nights and sometimes we have 1 or 2 members waiting to join.

It's usually members and our regular pubbies, and we are reluctant to kick if they've been playing for a few maps and are playing as a team.

As we usually have 4 admins active, I'd like to up the server numbers to 18 to accommodate a couple more.

Hey guys Jamoe was on MC last night and said it was more laggy than often.  I know there is no way to test only thing I could think is the back ups of the maps?  I know it is Java based etc.

If you need more info let me know.

Since MS bought MC all plugins are kaput. So no backups, maps, lockable chests etc.

I've restarted the server though to see if that helps.

I had to restart Boomer tonight to try to stop it feeling laggy.
I'm not qualified to say what's wrong with it, but everyone was feeling the lag.
Somebody mentioned 'choke' whatever that is.
Net graph was flashing red along the bottom line, sv: and var: and still does a bit with just me and the bots on.
the restart didn't improve it much though.

Can you have a look into it for us please?

Choke was usually a bndwidth restriction back in the days of your update rates being higher than 56kbps dial-up could cope with.  We really should not see it on broadband.   Gandalf or Whitey, any idea if there were choke points in the hardware recently?
