Here is an extract of a review of Max Payne 2 at GamesDomain. Are we going to sue Remedy over this?  ;)

There are harder modes, the against-the-clock speed running mode from the original, and a new gameplay style, "Dead Man Walking," which pits Max against an ever-increasing number of enemies in an attempt to stay alive for as long as possible.

Full Review Here...

Additionally...

More unusually, Max and Mona enjoy a fully-realised (albeit brief) physical relationship, and there is a small amount of nudity.

I doubt we'll sue Remedy over that bit

I'll second that, an evening just flew by!

If you want to see the havoc physics engine in action (the same one that is in HL2) then get this. It really is amazing and no death sequence is the same. All the bodies fly around convincingly and slump correctly against objects.

Also the bits of debris that fly from boxes when hit by bullets also obey the laws of physics (with all the detail up anyway, runs sweet as a nut on full detail 1280 x 1024 on my 9700 pro xp2700+). It really is a very well polished game.

Many people commented on the story sequences last time, some liked them others didn't. I kinda liked them, and they are back in full force this time. It all adds to the gameplay though, and when you get into the action you really see what the game engine can do.

With bullet time, everytime you hit someone it recharges and changes colour. With that you get faster, and if you reload when in that state you pull of some special moves to reload faster. Looks very nice.

It is short, but I'd rather have 6-10 hours of pure silk than 30-40 hours of itchy scratchy cotton.

The game is very very nice, well polished, a great story and due to the havoc physics, it has loads of replay value.

DEMO RELEASED

Finally something to entertain you today, here is the Max Payne 2 demo. The 245mb download offers the first 2.5 levels of the game (the Hospital, Warehouse and 1/2 of Vodka), and upon completion of those levels the Dead Man Walking map Manor becomes available.

Not for the kiddies

Great game, but did you know......

add -developerkeys -screenshot  to the end of the command line. For example

"c:Program Files\Rockstar Games\
Max Payne 2\MaxPayne2.exe"  -developerkeys -screenshot

and when the game starts hit the page up or page down keys several times. Max changes into other characters in the game. Keep pressing until you get to one specific skin  :dribble:

Hit f3 and use the arrow keys to move around. Feel completely sad.
