RGW Raid Openings - Applications Wanted

With Angeldark in we're 3 tanks and pretty much set, so we're not recruiting to only raid Sunday if we can avoid it.  What we'd like to see is tanks making Sunday's raid.   Three tanks ought to be enough to cover it?  Clearly if it is not then offspecs are an option (as RGT do), but then those people also need to turn up, be willing to have such an offspec, want to play it and have the required skill to execute it.

This works very well for RGT. I basically raid the days when Hal doesn't, so I only raid twice a week (to keep the wife happy, otherwise I would raid 3, lol). This does rely on Whitey being present all the time though, or Hal raiding twice a week as well. Doing this since I've been in the guild, we've only had 2 nights iirc where we needed to get Grim to cover a tank spot from his normal DPS spot.

Ideally you don't want any more than 3 because Firelands has a lot of single tank encounters and we don't want bored tanks downing tools and leaving!

i work every sunday. DA said he could make most sundays, Treach said he wont make most sundays as hes hanging out with m8s. this leaves us a tank short on sundays. Vlad wouldve been an alternative in OS, but hes gone on a break.

Problem is either way we need to recruit a melee/tank so either we end up with 4 tanks or with 4 melee. We cant recruit someone for 1 day a week so rotations will be bigger. It sucks but then it isnt the "new" guys fault, it is ours/yours.

whats Pals offspec? never seen her in anything but kitty form, is this an alternative? building a tank set shouldnt take too long with the valor pieces

Trouble is with running o/s.....for example sharp has spoken with pals to tank....pals has never played tank....not something u can just jump into....dont get me wrong thx sharp for talking to her and thank you pals for offering to do that....

So we now have an o/s tank for when sharp has to work and treach plays with his friends....then we lose a melee...vlad is off atm and for the nearfuture so that the presents us short of melee...

We still need another tank imo....want to talk to da and his pal who has transfered over they werent on tonight,but soon as they are i will ask...

i still strongly disagree on getting another tank. Theres at least 2 fights in FL that only calls for one tank, most the thrash can be tanked by 1, meaning that on any given night ull have 3 tanks sitting out for at least 2 fights.

offcourse you disagree, but then I guess the Melee would disagree for finding a 4th melee aswell and bringing a offspec melee isnt the way to go caus we are already short on players on sunday.

totally agree, we should all have offspec.. since we are so many druids in our group, I nvr been asked for a offspec. just nothing else that cat has been needed, (and the gearing offspec up is been non-prio)  and many times I just have to sit on bench for other classes of melee.. so if the DK is willing to try tanking out and accept he might have to sit on bench while the other tanks are in. fine by me.

and may I ask.. if ya gone for a month or two, do ya get ya spot back in raids? just like that? just wanna know how it works

I think that running on a Sunday is the crux we need a few more players to make it viable I know I haven't  attended on a Sunday yet but hope to soon.
