RGW Raid Openings - Applications Wanted

Just as a side-note: RGT has 3 tanks. When we were progressing through first 6 bosses, we planned ahead for days we only had 1 tank available (this do occur and is easy to see on Calendar).
Sounds like Sundays are gonna be your usual Bale+Rhy day?

Comparing with melee is not the way to go, cause all fights can be done with 2 melee. If you find a 4th melee, you will have a maximum of 50% sit-outs on full attendance nights.
While having a 4th tank will bring a maximum of 75% sit-out.

I feel this is a good time to look through TLs old, but not outdated post... DMR & The Way We Raid.

Its a tricky problem ... The attendance is good on tanks till we hit sunday then it falls thu the floor. Recruiting a tank just for sunday is also not an option leaving 4 tanks that our meat shields feel is too many. The options left are change the day or use an offspec or return to 2 days .. In the team we have Moon , Drew , Pals , Vlad, Sith that could help tho this is going to take time gear wise. We could look at getting in a melee with a tank OS (DK would be perfect) and DA's friend could possibly be the way forward

I think short term you have no choice but to use an offspec for sundays and a general recruitment for class balance is needed too

Treach, how bout u play with youre friends mon or wed and come raid sunday? i wouldve come sundays myself, but my work commitment has to come first.

edit: as a comment on dre's comparison to melee, this is not valid. as slush says melee always has 2 raid spots no matter the boss. we have 3 melee now for 2-3 spots. Healers ALWAYS has 3 spots for any given boss fight in FL, we have 4 healers alltogether. Tanks, as ive said before, has 1-2 raid spots, and having 4 tanks share that, its not ok.

If we have tanks not able to that dont show up we need back up. On sundays we had 1 melee showing up and 1 melee being late. I expect Nims and Vladic to now show up on sundays. So IMO,like Jas already mentioned, a tank/melee would be best(1spec tank, 1 spec melee).

So the problem isnt us having alot of players, well it is but not direct. Our problem is ppl not willing or they cant show up 3 days per week. 2 solutions for that IMO are:
-recruit more and have bigger rotations.
-recruit more and get rid of ppl that cant keep up

Another option if the Sunday is a problem and the other days are OK is to drop the Sunday raid.

we have an average of 8 players showing up for sunday that seem to like raiding on sunday, based on that I dont think we should cancel it. it wouldnt be fair.

Sorry to sound harsh, But before SUnday raid was created there was a post asking for what days people could do. Setting up Sunday after the tanks said they can;t do it then balming the tanks for not turning up is a bit unfair.

I don´t think anyone blame the tanks for not showing up. They just try to solve the sunday´s raid. and I hope they do. since I would like one more day a week

Like pals said, its not a blame, its not the tanks fault but, it is because of the tanks that we need to look for a solution, you guys show up twice a week which is what you need to do.

we need another melee or 2, that much is clear, dre mentioned we need another ranged as well. Id say dk dps with tank offspec and elemental shammy with enh offspec

Time has come, where my project at work is coming to a hold over the winter, and  within the next couple of weeks i should get more time to attend raids again, if i'm still wanted that is. Recently i have lvl'ed my priest to disc, and getting fairly good at it, still need to attain some pieces of gear, but i'm getting there. Reason why, is that i'm not completely sure where i stand by being a tank (haven't played it for some time now), and i've found some good fun in the priest, so that would be either of thoose toons i prefer.

shud point out when i return (still as unsure as still not feeling that "WOOHOO raid time" urge agian) as it involved me making i dare say too many RL sacrifices (time with friends for online friends etc, or canceling things or rushing food) i dare say ill be sticking to monday/wednesday raids as sunday is just a bad day over all for me (only day off of work and uni after next week) where ill want to most likely spend with RL friends i havnt seen all week and such, and i know nims doesnt always attend them as he has his GF relationship and RL friends also to think of.

To pals it depends if you notify the raid your going, as breaks are to be expected and even then you wont INSTANTLY get your spot back as they may well recruit a new melee from outside the guild and it wont be fair to go "well vladics back so bye bye"

To be honest a 3rd night over all once term begins may be an issue for me once i get further into learning plus when SWTOR comes out i know im going for that ("LOOK AT MY SPARKLY FAN BOY BADGE!!!!" but even should another MMO come along, my university studies will still take prio as WoW is fun but i cant get a job with it (unless i become a GM but thats another issue).

So as for now my personal answer to this thread is "sure go get another melee and if i return best i can do is 2 days maybe the odd 3rd for sake of RL"

i dont go on a break every few months this is first break ive had in about year and a bit lol the other times have either been uni work deadlines or power cuts which i generally cant ignore/stop
