Jinx, midd and myself jumped in on release and played out first part of the co-op ..... needless to say impressed - a lot of good work has been done since the failure of AvP.

Not going to give spoilers away - but from what I've personally seen so far - it looks goooooood.  Few places had us jumping and wondering what was coming.  Cant wait to play more later

They did say the Competitive part (player aliens vs humans) was the best part.

i`m on the campaign and .. somewhere into it, yea some of the moments are.. exciting (scary), but its quite well done, the aliens are a bit tough, go for the eyes !

a note on the weapons, shot gun is you friend, " i keep this for when its close up and personal", DAMN STRAIGHT !

But when you come to upgrade, remember, if you press B, you can change your weapon load out(i discovered this at rank 5) so there`s no need to stick with one weapon, tho the pulse rifle + laser dot is v good... but the pump action is the dogs for when they get close- and oh yes, they do get up close and in your "grill"


so far im` enjoying it, not had a chance to play co-op yet ( no games found) but its early days

Will add you just shortly amber - me jinx n Midd are halfway thru Hadley's hope.
And likewise - enjoying it also.  I really don't see where people are giving it such a hard time from.  Stuck quite close to a lot of scenarios from the film - seeing the aftermath of key points is awesome.  

Only briefly played pvp - lasted about 3 mins before I died whilst placing down a sentry turret then whoever was hosting left and finished the game prematurely.

My only gripe so far.

The video clips is quite telling and the clipping in the last vid is truly dreadful. Is it really as bad as the review says?

Well you've heard what amber and myself have said about it.  Haven't played single player campaign as of yet. (been playing co-op) and really enjoying the game.

It might not be to everyone's tastes but if you are any sort of fan of the alien franchise you'll love going back and seeing the iconic areas of the film.  From dancing about in loaders to seeing the accurately depicted sentry guns in the tunnel that once fended of an army of bugs.

Overall I'd give it 8/10.  Good campaign game (so far), multiplayer gets really fun once able to handle aliens.  A few silly call outs from npcs as reported but thats  not a major issue imho.
