Another glorious day in the corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a  day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every  formation a parade! I love the corps!

Ooh, me wants.

What are you waitin' for? Assholes and elbows! Hudson! Get over here.

I have a problem with the story.

The Sulako left Hadleys Hope after the atmosphere processing plant went critical and wiped out the place.

There was no damage to the ship and it was programmed to return to Earth, obviously Hicks was in stasis by this time and Bishop was a bit torn up, but Ripley was a navigation officer on the Nostromo and so would have filed all the details and done the programming of the auto pilot.

The Sulako was destroyed well away from LV-426 by a fire caused when the face hugger entered Ripleys stasis tube, this sent the automated distress signal and evacuation procedure that made the company come to the penal colony.

So why have they dispatched another ship to LV-426 to search for them, when the outpost was destroyed.

Or am I being too critical.

Should have nuked the site from orbit, it was the only way to be sure.

ArithonUK

There is no established time line from when the Sulako left lv426 and crashed on the Fury prison planet. It may well have been months.

It is not impossible that any communication Ripley *might* have sent from the Sulako, post Alien-Queen bust up may not have got through. In the intervening months a second ship could have been dispatched *just to be sure* :D

If I'm not mistaken, The Company knew about the location of the Derelict and its cargo of eggs.

It also isn't known whether the nuclear blast at the colony destroyed the Derelict, so maybe the second batch of marines are being used by The Company to secure them some eggs.

Somebody wake up Hicks....

Now that sounds more like it, as long as they don't revisit the Hadley's compound because that would have been destroyed.

I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.
