do we have an attendance cap as in how many % total needed to maintain raider status? that might be the way to go?

if u look at our attendance, ranged is what we lack in, last raids treach has had to OS to cover

We ask that people keep 66% attendance min .... lower than that and we cant keep a team ticking over and need to fill the spot.

To be honest Jas my first drafted reply was to suggest a drop to 1 raid night then when that is sorted progress to 2 then 3. I felt i may get hung for heresy but it is an option.
@ Sharp if we did kick a few for low attendance surely we will be worse off? not sure thats what you mean tho..

u cant force people to raid. i think someone higher ranked than me should have a chat with the people with low attendance, to see if its going to improve, and if theyre motivated and wanting to raid.

i know RL takes prio, but if people cant attend 2 days a week, perhaps they should consider if wow is taking too much time as it is? if RL issues interfers with half of our raid days,its a shame, but that also means youre personal timetable doesnt allow you to raid.

and in my opinion, when we only raid 2 times a week, the attendance cap should be higher than 66%,more like 75%.  as we have a lot fewer raid hours to take from than if we were raiding 3 days, we need our people to be there for those 2 chosen days.

anyhow, i think that recruiting at least 3 people would make a huge difference. personal suggestions would be holy/ret pally, dk dps/tank and a ranged of some sort,maybe even 2

Absolutely agreed.  Some people are kidding themselves as to the amount of commitment they have to raiding.  

Re the recruitment, my personal opinion is that you need at least 5 more people to make the raid group viable in the long term:

1 x melee
2 x healers
2 x ranged

Those recruits would then bring RGW into line with what RGT retain within their raid group - and we have needed every single one of those people as the law of averages says that someone will always be missing!   This is why I posted the RGW Recruitment message some days ago:

Its easy to say to replace people but we need to have the replacements first before we can actually replace them. Thats the biggest issue atm.

There are quite a few posts at the moment about RGW and absence and recruitment and such....So I thought id start a new thread and have my 2cents worth....:2cents:

Firstly I would like to hold my hand up :poster_oops: my attendence has been slack for the last couple of weeks due to several reasons which i cba to type again,for that im sorry. Unfortunatly for you guys im back! and hungrier than ever to get raggy down.

Its not just me though quite a few people have not been turning up,for whatever reasons....1 thing stated is that if you cant turn up,please just post in the absence thread....takes you 30secs to do it and makes Drea's,mine and the other officers that have been helping lives ALOT easier!

It allows us to plan others to come in,as recently we are using alot of RGT alts...this gives them time to sort things as most raid 3nights....trouble is though some are gona burn out if the are raiding 4/5 nights a week which isnt fair on them due to some from RGW not bothering to turn up...

Also its a bit of a kick in the nuts when peeps dont sign up and then are in another channel on TS playing other games....

Which brings me to this....some people are leaving wow,some are playing other games....If you are doing this or planning on it please post here to say you are gona leave RGW or take a break...This will then enable us to see what classes we have and can recruit to that.

There are no hard feelings it something that happens....RL is prio or a new game or just had enough of wow...Just let us know as there are 6-7 of us that you are letting down but not telling us or not turning up...

Hi guys, i was planning on turning up and raiding last night, but due to RL issues i was waiting for my dinner, and thus was playing battlefield whilst waiting as thats more fun than sitting in SW. Secondly, I am quitting the game, or at least taking a break from it. This has nothing to do with anyone in particular as i actually really like talking and messing about with you lot, i just dont find the game fun anymore and it feels like a chore to play. I was late cancelling my subscription yesterday and it ticked over another month, so im still around until the 2/12/2011 if you ever need me for a raid.
All thats left for me to say is Thanks! and Goodbye, see you in another game/LAN
