Going through some old bands I haven't heard in a while, and suddenly I see Hot Water Music has been releasing quite a bit since last I saw them.

Little bit of deep house to help you wake up this Sunday morning.....

Monday morning, back in the office after the weekend. What better band to start with than Volbeat?

Starting off slow and nice with Fallen before going on to the heavier stuff.

Today: Norwegian rock/rap band OnklP & De Fjerne Slektningene (OnklP & The Distant Relatives).

The lyrics probably won't make sense to you. Then again, rappers rarely do. What keeps me coming back to this band is the fact that they're probably the only viable combination of rap and rock ever. It's usually a recipe for disaster, more often than not stinking to high heaven of Nu Metal. This, however, is a straight-up allstar rock lineup (featuring members from Turbonegro and Oslo Ess) fronted by one of the few norwegian rappers I have any kind of respect for.

So.. may be worth it to you just for the riffs and the music video. The song is about self-doubt and having a nasty creature on your back telling you you're worthless (and the frontman's love/hate relationship with it). The nasty creature is played by norwegian comedian Atle Antonsen, perhaps most known abroad for his portrayal of the distrubed therapist Dag in the eponymous show.

Slightly aggressive, slightly angsty, perfect for keeping the pace up while doing boring work.

Punks turned metal, Strung Out delivers.

Bit of a change of pace today. Morten Harket, the king of douchebags, 30 years after making it big with A-Ha.

Not really a good song. I just like the immensely contrived video idea :p

Very smooth and relaxing, 60 minutes from Anjunadeep with James Grant.

Awesome background music and mood music. Someone shared this on the Elite Reddit page asking for the ability to strem our own music into the game. I can see how this would go down well floating in space. Oh and they're Scots.

Christmas is rolling around, so it's time with something to break up the sickening sweetness of regular christmas music. Bad Religion gave it a good whack with last years christmas album, and they're at it again with this years single.

Came across this:

Channel 4 is thought to be shelling out around £200,000 to hijack this weekend’s final of The X Factor with this woman.

I like it although would prefer to hear her natural voice considering the term 'hijacking xfactor is being thrown around'
 Bring on the randomness!
