I just finished the last episode (#6) of this. I'm not a history buff at all, but was taken in by Dan Carlin's voice and manner of speaking - so maybe others may be too
He does a variety of other topics too, and there are a bunch of these shows on RadioPublic, so I'm sure they'll be on other podcast players too.

Not the same without Layne Staley. William DuVall does an admirable job though, the vibe is there and he's eerily similar in style.

Just listed to an hour 20 of this, fairly enjoyed it actually, never go on with their sound electric but the bass was amazing in this. Good atmosphere and bit of banter as well.
