I found Smooth Genestar online last night and had a really relaxing time chilling out to his albums which are also delightfully cheap to buy, you can get e.g. the 'Last Train Downtown' album for â,¬5 on Bandcamp.  Fantastically mellow foot-tapping!

Smooth Genestar is seriously addicted to all kind of groovy downtempo music. The roots in Downtempo, Chillout and Lounge are reaching back to the middle of the 90s, by legendary CD-series like Space Night and Cafe del Mar, labels like Elektrolux and inspiring artists like Saafi Brothers, Aural Float, Fresh Moods or Nightmares on Wax, just to name a few. The sound of Smooth Genestar is a balance between the origin vibes of the mid 90s and contemporary sounds. Since 15 years the producer is busy in sound design, and besides a huge library of sounds, samples and patches, he also still prefer the unique sound of hardware samplers and synthesizers, the usability and sound of analog mixing consoles and the quality of outboard effects.
