I've been looking into this for the past few days. Probably after reading that review. It looks good. I kind of want to know what the mounting options will be before buying it...but then again I'm not sure how important that is for casual gaming. I just remember not finding mario kart wii as good with the wiimote as it is with the gamecube controller. Mounting will give some sense of precision...

It has no mounting just a motion sensor video got some good info in it :)

I don't know what it weighs, but I'd hate to carry that for a one hour race.
No pedals, no clutch and no force feed back.
G27 is double the price though.

And a good working g25 is almost that as well, if you can find one

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

I'm slightly in love with the gear change indicator, I would buy it for that alone.

I hope they do produce a full featured model (with pedals, force feedback etc) but 100 quid it's not bad.

That was my point about the mounting. Plus I can't imagine those buttons are a whole lot of use if you have to hold it in the air with one had and turn the knobs and press buttons with the other with only your grip making sure you keep steering in the same direction.

There are 3 mounting holes on the back which one guy has used to mount it to a tripod which seems to make things a whole lot easier. There is an official mount in development apparently. That's what I'm waiting to see. All it has to do is take the weight and spin freely, the wheel itself will take care of everything else. I don't care hugely about force feedback etc when the price is so much higher (though would be nice to get a wheel with it one day), I just need something without much of a footprint for my main PC.
