So after last night’s raid all of RGW have a Deathwing kill finally! :yahoo:

As we basically have DS on farm now (I know only a few DW kills but,) and there is another nerf incoming we should start to progress further by attempting and killing some HC bosses. :boxing:

I feel on the whole RGW has improved vastly over the last couple of months and we have to continue to improve to get these HC kills as one mistake, be it a taunt too late, miss timing a heal, not swapping targets quick enough then it will be a wipefest! It showed again last night that some people are having targeting issues still. This will be a major problem in HC modes imo. I know wiping is part of progression as we get used to new aspects of the fights etc but if it is down to the same reasons just say for example not swapping targets….people will start getting annoyed with one another and the qq’ing about each other starts, which it already has…

As a RL I am monitoring everyone to the best I can in the raid and then checking logs…im still fairly new to the log site and im a slow learner but im getting there and I have been speaking with individuals about certain aspects of their game. Also several others have been helping such as TL, Jas etc. Please don’t (as its been happening every raidnight) whisper me during and after fights moaning about someone else. I know it may be frustrating but it isn’t going to help by moaning. We have forums about all the bosses, UI’s and such. Make a post about how we could improve our game in a positive way….Negativity only breeds more negativity. Which is what I don’t want in the raid grp and im sure others don’t either. If you do have a real problem about someone in the raidgrp please speak to me after the raid or whenever as im on most days or send me a PM and we can take things from there.

On weds we will be going for HC morchok, so please read up on the forum and watch RGT’s video and take note of what TL has written on the video. As it took almost the whole night to down DW I want a kill in the 1st hour on Morchok or we may not clear the whole instance in our 2 raid nights. If we don’t get the kill then we will swap back to normal to tear the place up. This will enable us to get another few upgrades and the following week we will spend the full weds evening on hc modes, with the Monday for a clearance.

Again, if any have any suggestions or ideas we are always open to them so please post away!

Yes a great night for RGW.

To get to the kill we had a few wipes, each wipe seemed different from the last, and although there were targetting issues for dps, (and i hold my feathery hand up as guilty with my 15 second casts) there were other other issues with heals and taunting/stacks as switch says. I am happy to listen on how to improve, and I will not take it personally. The bolt was going down really quick, not my call to make, just a suggestion.... could we leave a melee dps on the tenticle thing rather than run back and forward?

I like the idea of making sure every RGW member has every kill (not just Raggy) I may be mistaken but i don't think everyone has got the gunship kill?

I agree with the plan to go for Hc Morchok on monday. Hopefully we will get him down and if not, spending the rest of the night or monday night on clearing the raid seems to be a good idea to me.
For me personally i wouldn't mind to continue HC attempts on wednesday, and monday or the time remaining, on clearing the rest of the raid untill i get my 60 Clusters for my shiny legendaries :w00t2:
I also agree to the fact that the last few months we have improved alot. Imho we should be able to get a few HC bosses down with the right motivation, focus and practice.
So let's go for it and try to catch up as best as we can with RGT

Hi there Guys, bit of a sticky situation involving which toon is my main atm as both pally and priest are roughly equally geared! I'm easy as to whether im tanking(pally), healing(disco priest) or dpsing(spriest). Which do you want? Which would benefit RGW most if any??? I understand you want a 4th healer for Morchok? I'll be about tonight and tomorow night if you wish to discuss this with me, or you can reply on this here forum

So the question is.. Pally Tank, or Priest heals/DPS? Im easy. (Thats if you want me at all )

I've taken a look at the logs and I'm deeply ashamed. My healing dropped down to about 15k/s before Sharpfang died, 'forcing' us to use our BR.

I'm very sorry this happened and I promise this won't happen anymore in the future, since, like Switch mentioned, mistakes like that can't happen in heroic modes.

Sounds good for next raidweek! Must say we improved alot already comparing to couple weeks ago. Last week showed we didn't have much trouble with all bosses (except zonnoz ). And yesterday phase 1 went really smooth. Was really surprised at how fast the bolt/regenerative bloods went down, gj all . Only the blisterings maybe, but that wasnt thát bad either. Just need to smoothen out phase 2 & shouldn't have much trouble killing DW normal in the future. Only problem here I think is always a tank that dies with the terrors.. not sure how to solve this one, maybe faster taunting off? Moar dps? Fragments should also go down faster for sure but don't think this was a major issue last night causing the wipes (correct my if I'm wrong though)

Also about the bolt, from the logs on all tries:

Two things stand out in Cynba's post and they're both the same thing.

This a lack of proper targeting and therefore lack of focused dps.  

People ALL need to hit the same target to kill one target rapidly, then dps the second.  If the first is not DPS'd down quickly then tetanus stacks will kill a tank regardless of any taunts.   RGT has this problem too if we do not single target dps and focus on one Terror.   We always kill Whytee's Terror first, then Hal's.   RGW should have a similar system and tanks should spread so that when the Terrors spawn no single tank gets hit by both Terrors.

Also about the bolt, from the logs on all tries:

Ranged dps can hit a bolt from miles away so should be much more prominent on this list and certainly not one half to one third the dps of Cynba.  This points to lack of targeting again.

The message should be clear.  People are still not targeting properly or fast enough.

HC Morchok is a relatively simple fight, but it will drive you nuts quickly until you get the pull right.   I'd recommend reading the on-screen notes given in the RGT video which is linked in the HC Morchok thread.  Once the pull is right the rest of the fight is about healing rhythm.

TL mentioned it in one of the bosses threads, but for those who didn't read it and/or don't know it you can put multiple target lines in 1 macro. I currently use 1 button (that I binded to 'e') with following lines.

/tar Ele
/tar Bur
/tar Twi
(elementium bolt, burning tendon, twilight sapper). I personally don't have much trouble targeting the Fragments by clicking, could also use the macro here since it's called Elementium Fragment but since there's 3 of them you might pick a different one then the assigned one to be killed first. For the Terrors since sharps target always gets killed first I put sharp on focus, & then click the focus' target & start dps that one asap
