I know that Tier 1 wasn't a great success, mainly issues with the tiny maps, but maybe this one will be different :g:

For starters, this will be using the frostbite 2 engine (battlefield 3) so visuals look great:

Lets hope lessons have been learned!

Medal of Honor: Warfighter (also known as Medal of Honor 2 or Medal of Honor 2: Warfighter) is an upcoming first-person shooter video game being developed by Danger Close Games and set to be published by Electronic Arts. It is a direct sequel to 2010's series reboot Medal of Honor (2010) and the 14th Medal of Honor installment in the series. The title was officially announced on February 23, 2012, and it is set to be released in North America on October 23, 2012, and in the United Kingdom on October 26, 2012.

Multiplayer

Medal of Honor: Warfighter's multiplayer will not be developed by EA Digital Illusions CE who helped develop Medal of Honor (2010)'s multiplayer. Danger Close Games will develop its own multiplayer with DICE's Frostbite 2 engine. <--- Anyone know what other titles Danger close games have made?#

Cooperative

There will be a co-op mode, that is separate from the single-player mode.

Single-player

The single-player mode will continue to follow the story of Tier 1 operators. It probably will take place after 2002. The single-player will feature various locations including the Philippines and Somalia, and it is based on real stories of Tier 1 operators.

Pre-order promotion

Pre-orders of Warfighter will receive automatic upgrade to the Limited Edition of the game at no extra cost. The Limited Edition unlocks the U.S. Navy SEAL Tier 1 Sniper and the McMillan Tac-300 sniper rifle upon the game's launch, an unlock that would otherwise require about 40 hours of gameplay

Well, EA are publishing it so I'm prepared to bet that not only will there be no dedi servers but you will have to buy your ammunition to play....

I might start boycotting EA Titles as a result of making Bf3 an expensive man's cod.

Quote from: Blunt;352584any news on dedi servers?

I have been keeping an eye on this pre launch as USA launches 23/10/12 and UK launch 26/10/12.

Looks like it may have LAN support as a post E3 LAN party was held by Freddy and his leaky pals:

Any feedback from anyone who has ordered the game when it releases about its potential for LAN and dedi server support please post to let us know!

£40 on Origin, they must be joking. It's £30 on Amazon. Origin is a joke. Plus the number of games there is so small I've been avoiding them. I know and trust Steam and very few games are £40 there (new releases like XCOM and Dishonored are £30) and I imagine they'll be on sale by christmas. I don't feel any urge to start buying games through origin especially not having seen what they've done to BF3.

The graphics in this version look good, as they did in the previous version, however that was a poor game, a true example of what not to do in an FPS. I won't be going for this one because of the outrageous price, lack of steam, and the fact the last game is still fresh in my memory as being one of the worse FPS games I've played in the past 5 years.

ArithonUK

It's a BF3 Mod.

Same graphics engine. It doesn't even have its own game browser, that's right! It's just a new TAB in the EXISTING BattleLog!!!

The marketing campaign of "Buy MOH:WarFighter and get BETA access to BattleField4" left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Where was the "You bought every BattleField title, so as a vetran, here's your BF4 BETA invite!" ? Buried in a shallow grave with "Screw You All" on the headstone!

EA/DICE are now competing with UbiSoft and Activision to see who can treat it's customers worse and stay in business.

Chaosphere

Couldn't agree more with you Arithon. Truly rubbish. People need to start voting with their wallets...

And yet i dont get, if you dont like the concept, dont buy it.. nobody is forcing you.

People hated premium, as they claimed you didnt save anything, which you ended up doing. Now your even getting a 50% discount on Warfighter if you bought it.

Same graphics engine you say, nothing new in that.
90% of games out there use a engine developed by someone else... Crytek Engine, Unreal Engine was used in over a thousand games..
Half life engine was used in more games then anyone can image...

Enlighten me the difference from what we have been used too, and this?

Price, is the same as most other games at launch, 30£..
XCOM: 49.99â,¬
Borderlands 2: 49.99â,¬
Bioshock Infinite: 49.99â,¬
Football Manager 2012: 49.99â,¬

Im no fan of EA, on the contrary, i hate them as much as the next man.

Sparko

well....i think its brilliant, really enjoying it, i cant really compare it to bf3 (apart from the same engine) the game is really smooth and the game modes are really good, just genuinely enjoyable.

It has its own ingame server browser and i cant say i have seen a tab next to bf3 in battlelog....infact the battlelog for this is in game too, i think its really well laid out tbh. :boxing:

Also looks like dedi servers are supported...

kregoron

Dont really think it was worth the money, eventho i only paid 10£ for it.

Graphics arent the big fuzz, its pretty standard these days comparing to stuff like BF3...
The multiplayer game modes are nothing new either, most are seen in COD and similar games...
Single player campaign was very linear and dull...

Wait for it to be on sale..
