So with CS:GO practically on the horizon and with more and more of us getting keys its time to have a meet and test the game out!

I am thinking meet on TS 19:00 in the chill out room and then we can move all together to a server (we can't host our own yet) and give it a thorough play through!

Hope you can make it!

Whitey now has my spare key and is performing black magic rituals in an attempt to speed up his Broadband.

Can we get another CS channel setup on teamspeak?
And can I complain that I never got a cs vet badge even after all my years of playing cs with you on the meathook? :o

Put me down for a game tomorrow, and tonight tbh ;)

Whitey

The server is running on 77.108.135.45 port 27019 but it may be up and down a bit as we sort out the settings etc.

Sparko

See you there!

Warm and welcoming.

They have prettied up the graphics and added extra guns and grenades, but they add to the game and slot into the existing framework very well.

I think they have managed to pull off a good update to the old gal and can see myself getting back into the old Friday night fragging.

They have also made a few map changes, but nothing drastic, just opened up a few extra doors here and there. On Dust for instance, they have modified the underpass to make it a little better for the T's to not get caught in an ambush. They have also made the underground areas on Nuke smaller.

We didn't try a Tower of Power.

All in all, it is looking like a must buy for the LAN, especially at the price that's been mentioned. It's not got the graphics and game mechanics of BF3 and BC2 and that probably explains the pricing, but from what we played tonight, it is the fast fix that it always was and everyone starts equal at the beginning of the map.

Hello old friend, the facelift has smoothed out the years quite nicely.

Part of the reason I stopped playing BF3 is that it was too easy no such problems here :)

With this, Tribes Ascend and Planetside 2 the PC exclusive FPS market is looking... completely freaking badass :woot2:
