As there's a resurgence in popularity in this game (albeit minor) so I've reinstated it to 'live'.

There's a few of us which are playing this regularly again and we welcome anyone else who fancies dusting off their copies and having another go :)

So, have they fixed anything or is it still a 1000 Colonial pilots to every Cylon?

Oldie is really the man for this as he knows all about it. I'm still working out how to fly again :)

Seriously though, it seems to be a lot more balanced and certainly not as bad as it used to be. There's still bugs etc but it's fun revisiting it as it certainly offers a slower pace of gaming.....

Yeah ive been back on this the last couple of nights, its pulling me in again bit by bit

Still unbalanced but not ridiculously so. We Cylons are still the underdogs but I quite like that.

Was back on Wednesday night with Oldie for some Op Run Goodness. Like Penfold I'm trying to remember all the various buttons and what ship does what...... Nexus, Plexus, Hexus, Dexus.... ?????

Last question for now but what was the server name we played on. For some reason I can't find my old characters and wonder if I am looking on the wrong servers.

I have logged back into the game and for some strange reason my character has been removed. Am lothed to have to start again from 1 when I got to 30+. Anyone else had this issue or got advice how to fix it?

You're definitely on Virgon right?

If so BP may have deleted it. They do say that you should log in every three months. However I doubt they would delete an account especially if you had ever bought some cubits.

I raised a ticket to find out what the situation is and got a reply saying if the account is not accessed in a 4 week period then all characters and account is deleted and can not be recovered regardless if you brought cubits or stuff before.

Due to this reason I very much doubt I will come back to BSG due to the fact I can't be bothered to level from 1 again. Anyone else who has not accessed there account recently will be in the same situation or log in quickly and then again once a month to keep your characters going.

Am really disappointed with this and feel it is a really bad side to the game that the company just delete the characters with out even sending a reminding mail out warning that this will happen. I have raised my displeasure with them and indicated that they stand to lose gamers from our community as I would guess am not the only one with this issue.

how odd. I've not been on there for probably three months, maybe even longer. I can't remember when!

I've just logged in now and everything is as before. My character is untouched.

Yeah, that really sucks big time. Shame.....

Let us know how you get on with them - perhaps it's worth chatting to Lib and see if he'll let you play with his big BSG toys ?
