Really cool, but the depth of field at that angle looks kind of weird perhaps, but the image as a whole looks crisp

smilodon

It's an attempt at a style that tries to simulate model photography but which is actually a full size real life scene. You cheat by usuing a very severe lens blurr in Photoshop plus a few curves and saturation tweaks. At first glance you think you're looking at a model taken close up with a macro lens bt then realise that the scene is actually real.
These are my first crappy attempts but to see real quality stuff try this link

Cool. I've always loved this style of image, but not enough to buy a £600 lens. I might give this sort of thing a go. Also interested in time lapse photography, anything a little bit different.

As for the images I prefer the first one (although the "de-focusing" might get a bit extreme at the top right of the image) it makes the whole truck look genuinely miniature. Where as because the boats are slightly defocused the sense of scale is less convincing.

I think they are both awesome and if you send them without your name on they'll be on my desktop :)

I'll see what I can do. I'm also looking at a range of mock miniatures - naked women as well. I'll let you know how I get on.

No special equipment needed for tiltshift piccies, just software. You can do it online: http://tiltshiftmaker.com/

Very nice.

Given the reference, I guess they were taken while shooting the Emirates Cable Car.

I would have puit money on the fact they weren't real shots. It would be nice to see the original to compare.

smilodon

As requested and yes taken from one of the cable cars mid Thames.

Very nice, love the effect, completely the reverse of what your eyes tell you!
