If what Alesi heard over team radio was confirmed then I think he might have!

So Ferrari confirm Raikkonen for 2014 to drive alongside Alonso!

I think Alonso will win still. It's hard to tell Kimi's form when he's only against Grosjean though.

I can picture the first press conference....well Kimi, what do you think you can bring to Ferrari...?
"Well a past Ferrari winner is a decent start, eh Fernando ;-)" Another Hamilton/ Alonso situation... great fun.

He definitely deserves a decent car for a change. I imagine that would be the logical choice for Lotus. I think it would be too much of a risk to go with two relatively inexperienced drivers if they went for a new rookie. As for Masa, I doubt anywhere would really want him. He can race, but so can a lot of new talent, it'd be best to snatch someone up before others realise what they can do, rather than go for someone who achieved middling results in an above average car.

Not an exciting race this weekend at the front of the queue, but a fair bit of action further back down the field.      Alonso got a reprimand for giving Webber a lift back to the pits after Webber's car blew up and Webber himself got a 10 place grid penalty to be applied at the next race as it was his third infraction of the year.

"Why so serious?" I hear some fans ask of the Stewards.  Watch the video and see how close it came to a potentially nasty crash.

Personally I like the fact that they stop to pick other drivers up, it shows their human side, but in this case as it was around a blind corner I can also understand why the penalty was given out.     It's not like they were on the side of a straight where they could be easily seen, so it had the potential to be quite nasty.   Fortunately nobody was hurt though, other than Webber's chances at the Korean Grand Prix on October 6th.

I liked the fact he hitched a ride. I hate the fact he ran out on to the racing line of a blind corner to do so. The penalty was deserved for that. They were both responsible for where Alonso to stopped (Webber waving him down like that didn't give much option) so the fact they were both reprimanded is fair. 10 place grid penalty is just a result from a string of incidents.
