RGW Progression

Hai all thought i would post something about RGW and our progression and performance so far in Pandaria.

We started off late and very slow. This was due to many people having alot of RL issues, be it work, sickness, holidays etc. Some people were more geared than others but that will happen all the time. Now we have shaken of the slow start we are starting to work our way through the Vaults.

We've had to replace a couple of people due to them not playing WoW and mix up the group again. Which seemed to affect our performance once a gain for a couple weeks. Absences and new people to the fights and we seemed to be going backwards yet now people are turning up and we all know the 1st 5 fights so they are going reasonable well.

IMHO we are still  not performing to our best. This is due to many factors which im going to outline......

Attendence - What is says on the tin. It was a shaky start and numbers were low. Still now though we have a few people who have unaaceptable attendence lvls and this needs to improve greatly. We have to rotate people in and out of fights and i dont know if this annoys or affects any 1?..." oh i might be sat outside, should i bother? ". Please we need all of you to turn up and be on time. Its very frustrating when we are trying to sort the groups when 6-7 people arent online at 8pm. We have a 7.45pm inv start with the first pull to be at 8.15.
So we leaders are sat there scrating our heads seeing who is going to turn up....Then when people do turn up late, "oh can you wait a sec i need to get flasks". You are wasting others people time and it makes sorting the grps harder also.
I would apprieciate it if everyone would be online ready for invites and raid-ready outside the instance. Log on get an inv and then go have dinner or a shower etc,i know we all work have families but if you do that at least we know who we have in the group.

Being Raid Ready - Its happening alot that people arent bring flasks pots etc. Again this wastes valuable raid time. You should have enough of both to last the night and have spares. For example we had 14 fights on monday, 2 pots per fight so 28 pots. As a minmum you want 40. The same goes for flasks, have enough if not more for the entire raid.
We have many alchemists in the guild and its normally cheaper to buy the mats and have them made for you plus you can get procs so end up with more.
Gear - Some people havent been gemming, reforging and enchanting their gear properly or at all. Again this may seem trivial to certain people but spending 30mins looking up what is best for you or asking in guild will benifit you greatly!

Combat - So we have a few fights on farm but ideally we should be clearing the Vaults now and moving on to HoF.

Tanks are fine IMO as are healers. Dps seem to be struggling. We have a massive varience depending on fights. If movement and multi-targeting is involved some peoples dps drops through the floor. By now you should be used to your class for it not to faulter so much. Ofc there is going to be a difference but 1 raider can pull 60k dps standing there but when you bring in movement it goes down to 40k! We have many people in the guild that can help you with rotations etc so please use the people around. I have spoke with 3 people in the last 2 weeks about this and only 1 has really bothered to do anything about it.
Moving from fire/lightning pools what ever on the floor is a very basic raid element yet we have too many people dying from it. I can hold my hand up here and i died twice on monday from not moving in time. Im one of the lowest though. we need to focus on whats around react quicker, get your addons set so you can see timers more clearly simple things that will help.
Gear. I hate people moaning that they have less gear than others and so they cant dps asa much as them. When you are talking 3 ilvls, its absolute cobblers. As has been mention above little bits of tweaking will see your dps improve.
We wiped 10 times on elegon on monday and yes we have progressed slighty we have a lot of room for imp. Below is RGT's 1st kill and our best attepmt.

We are well below par. Rgt were only slighty better geared than us at this time. We need to focus on what our class does and bring it to the raids. Killing the obs....ups our dps on the boss so we will see our dps go up if we actually kill the orbs but i wont post too much about that on here that is what the boss threads are for. So please use them. Make your comments and observations and then we can learn from it.
3rd dps in our grp there and most attempts is Amber. Who is a healer. Dps is his off spec, enough said really....
Raid cooldowns we need to work on. We need the tanks to use theirs to mitigate raid damage and we need to sort out healing and mana cds. It was brought up on monday and from now on we will have them set. So the healers and ranged can sort theirs out and tank and melee if you can deal with yours with the appropriate leader.

Teamspeak - We all like to have a chat and a laugh on TS which makes the raids more fun. I just like to ask 1 thing though. Please keep TS clear when tactics are being given be it a new boss or a recap. We had 4-5 people talking last week about this and that which just slows us down. Please listen and respect the leaders and once we have spoken then voice your views etc.


Im really sorry for this wall of text which generally is a moan. We are a great group yet we just arent perfoming as well as we could be. So please take onboard what i have said. If you have any issues, agree/disagree with anything thats been said then please post up! Its what the forums are for.
