Id like to remind people of the following rule:

QuoteThe access granted to these servers for Community Members is a privilege. So please do not give the password to any one else. If someone wants the password then all they have to do is register here on these forums and they will have access to this section and the password. This method of registration allows us to validate our members and prevent abusive and destructive types spoiling the Dead Men Walking community. Users found to have given out the password in contravention of this rule will be banned from all servers for 7 days.

Wise words and thanks for the reminder. It's also not just for CS:Go but for all our hosted games.

This is a rule we've had for over a decade now and it's very easy to comply with, so there's really no excuse.
The seven day ban isn't an idle threat either.  :D

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

its been a while since we have had to remind people, and we have had a far few people join since the last instance. Maybe a quiet word with the offender and use this as a gentle reminder to all that we have these rules as we

a) dont like frag hunter rambo dolphin diving types on fps
b) dont like  Romain Grosjean's on the racing servers
c) and dont like  some foreign geezer wowing everybody as he's being paid to do so and kills all that move while chatting nicely to all in the passworded ts channels
d) we all like to play nice and work as a team
e) dont like Sulky flying helo's in arma.....oh wait a mo

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

I might have missed it but as far as I'm aware they haven't fixed the issue with CS:Go that allows people to join servers that are password protected if they join through the matchmaking system.  I know we used to have quite a few that joined our server that way.

Bells are suddenly ringing. You may be right.  Any way of testing if it's still the case.?

As the matchmaking system could take you to any server and there are hundreds/thousands of servers out there, I can't think of a way we could test this.  There was a thread on the Steam forum about the issue so it would be worth looking there as a start.

match making usually only lets people in when players are on..

Also you don't need the password if you invite friends on steam to the server. So choose wisely amongst your deary friends

Whilst this is being posted, I'd also like to take this opportunity to reiterate some other policies:

1. We do not tag corpses to celebrate our l33t killing skillz init.
2. Please ensure that when using voice comms - either ingame or on TS - that you use appropriate language and behaviour. Just 'cause you managed to kill one of our more elite players, it does not entitle you to go all Whooping and gloating on TS.
3. Please respect other members and players both in game and about their real life situations. We all banter away and take the pee on occasion but it can get repetitive and boring especially if you're on the end of it all night.
4. There is a lot of swearing on TS and this is not acceptable under our gaming policy. Friday nights are a little different but PLEASE moderate your language. We receive complaints about it on a regular basis and we don't want to have to start banning people. just THINK about it.

Thanks
