Hi guys still trying to find a fix for Gooner's (Andy) wheel problem are there any known conflicts/problems with vista and lfs/logitech profiler ?
So far have established that the force fb works (in profiler and on rfactor) but still no joy in lfs any idea's ?
(Wheel is g25 feedback is enabled in lfs)

I don't know of any and a search on the LFS Forum was negative.
However, I do recall that FFB doesn't happen in the game if the overall strength setting (in Windows) is less than 100%
Extract from LFS manual attached:

Correctly setting up a Logitech Wheel

Open up your Logitech Profiler and then the FFB (Force Feedback) settings window: either "Options" - "Global Device Settings" or if you are using game profiles "Edit" - "Specific Game Settings". Suggested settings are these (also shown in the screenshot):
  • Overall Effects Strength - Set to 101-105% (101% is good value). Due to problems inside the Logitech Profiler the FFB only starts to act linearly when set over 100%. You can always fine tune the level of FFB in LFS's Options > Controls or you can adjust it "on the fly" while driving with the FFB (Force Feedback) shortcut keys.
  • Spring Effect Strength - Set to 0%. It is Logitech driver based effect and practically LFS does not need this (confirmed by the game developer).
  • Damper Effect Strength - Set to 0%. It is Logitech driver based effect and practically LFS does not need this (confirmed by the game developer).
  • Enable Centering Spring / Centering Spring Strength - Uncheck the box (disable it) and set it to 0%.
  • Report Combined Pedals - Uncheck this option. Enabling this only gives you one pedal axis, meaning you can't use brake and throttle pedals properly. So disable it.
  • Degrees of Rotation - If your wheel provides this option, set it to the particular car's lock-to-lock angle (LFS lets you see this value in the car setup screen, under "Steering").
These settings should work on all Logitech wheels. The settings in the Logitech Profiler might slightly differ from these instructions depending on your wheel model.

i was playing lfs with a logi gt force pro  and the profiler with until recently vista 64 (off-line 99% of the time but sometimes online) i remember at the start i had an issue with having to have exactly the right degrees of movement in the profile didn't equal the setting in game, there were a few others but with a bit of trial and error i sorted them. i know i haven't the same wheel but i may have come across the same issue(mostly vista related). What exactly is the problem

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

Do you have User Account Control enabled on Vista?
Try running both the Logitech Profiler and LFS with Administrator privileges (right click and "Run as Administrator") and see if that helps.  I would advise to turn off UAC for Vista, its a pain in the ...... :)

Here is a thread on the Logitech forums by some one that had a similar problem.
