ive pretty much given up creating a new "rcongui" like form for CS:GO, to many fundemental things has changed from CS:S to CS:GO (and im not a programmer, but a network administrator, so programming skills aren't great ;) )

Gonna try creating a sub structure plugin for SourceMod or just rearraging the menu substructure.

I've fiddled around with the sm_admin in-game menu. See here
We could have it spam normal admin messages, or hints like this
We just have to populate the adminmenu_custom.txt with something like this

thoughts?

Does anyone still have the old modded rcon gui installed or know where I can download it? I can't remember who provided me with it when I first became a cs:s admin. I was hoping to steal some of the messages we used to use from there. :)

Thanks Whitey!

The sm_admin menu isnt as nice as the RCON gui, as we can only show a couple of items per page.
But here's a adminmenu_custom.txt that spams hint messages at the bottom middle of the screen.

If you'd prefer to have normal admin messages, simply do a replace all on sm_hsay -> sm_say.  Or I could update the file to include a submenu like 1) Hints 2) AdminMsg

I tried reloading both metamod and sourcemod, but could only get it to load the new menu by restarting the server.

EDIT: maybe people could comment on which order you think these should be in? Which ones are we most likely to spam the most? Those can be added to the top of the list to ensure they appear on the first page of the menu

How I wish we could have the old RCON gui system working again!

Thanks for all your efforts, I think we're getting somewhere close.

I've put this on both servers for now and it can be changed as needed.

:yahoo: Thanks for the quick turn around whitey.

Let's give it a go this evening and see how it works out for us. I'm sure we'll come up with some suggestions on how to improve it.

I just hope the servers are back by then.  Neither server is showing up on HLSW or in Game after the last update and according to the Steam forums we're not alone.

I'm updating mine atm, will report back if I'm seeing the same issues or not.
Edit: Seems to have gone OK, can't do a proper test until I get back home though.

Since I can telnet onto 77.108.135.45 on port 27019 and 27021, is it safe to assume both MH and Boomer are back up again?

Hi Whitey,

Would it be possible to have the values for the following set to "0" in sourcemod/weapon_restrict.cfg, this should restrict the weapons on map load.

sm_restrict_awp_t
sm_restrict_awp_ct
sm_restrict_g3sg1_ct
sm_restrict_g3sg1_t
sm_restrict_sg550_ct
sm_restrict_sg550_t

In addition to that, it'd be great if we could have this plugin installed: MOTDnotify. It allows us to use "!sm_rules playername" to force a pop-up webpage (of the rules and guidelines) to be displayed  for any given player.
And players can use !rules to have the rules displayed.

It requires the following:
 - drop the notifymotd.smx in the usual place.  (sourcemod/plugins)
 - host r_rules.html somewhere on //www.deadmen.co.uk
 - add "sm_rules_url "http://url/to/r_rules.html" to the server.cfg

Your time/effort is much appreciated, you should come join us for a game sometime :D

In addition to the above, would it be possible to have the following added to our server conf to disable the end of map vote (as the voting does not work at present):
mp_endmatch_votenextmap 0

We can potentially make use of the plugins included with sourcemod to kick of map votes instead of using Valves system.
