I was going to install it just to see what it offers so far, but it seems they're only making a windows based server available :(

Once it is stable we could put one up, no problem.  Sounds like there is currently quite a bit of instability, so I'd rather not ruffle BA5's feathers until it comes with a little less overhead! :P

Dug this thread out to ask if there is any interest in a dMw server for this maybe please? I'm not quite sure what is involved since I've not spent a lot of time with Space Engineers but it's just come out of Early Access and offers huge overhauls and new gameplay, and planets, so my understanding is its similar to Empyrion now?

It'd be nice to hear from anyone who's played the full release!

I played it for a while, both when it was in early development and since it's final beta/official launch. It used to be a typical early access game i.e. buggy and light on features. Now it's more polished and there's a not terrible little single player campaign. SE is a decent enough world builder if that's your thing. It's Minecraft in space with better graphics. If you like exploring and building stuff without any actual story line then it might be worth a punt. It reminds me of recent incarnations of No Mans Sky with more space and less planets.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

We had an epic game of this at a lan I seem to remember with people building space ships in amusing designs.

Would be good to see what the changes are and what it is like now.

All I remeber was going head to head and as the other person got close was to pick up the cockpit. Meaning the other player was stuck in a ship at full thrust with no way to stop or get off till they built another one.

I'd jump on and have a play if we spun up a server, sure. Tried it before but only solo.

Ditto, would like to join in and see how it is since haven't played it since early beta

Apologies for the delay in responding to these requests but I hope to have a server up soon for us to take another look at this game.
