Bug Reports (following forum move)

The hardware failure of BA4 (which happened Thursday morning) the forum has been transferred to a vps to provide additional resilience in the event of future problems.   As part of the move we have also upgraded the forum to the latest version and need to make sure that everything works.

Known issues:
-additional tab plugin not working (disabled for timebeing and repalcement or updated plugin being sought)
-clicking name at top of forum (Welcome, ) gives error (being looked at)



If you come across any others please report them in this thread and we'll take a look and try to resolve them asap.

Adding images to post:
Uploading from computer does nothing. No error message, no result.
Adding from URL, if you check "download and reference locally" you get an error message. If you leave it unchecked, it links to the image just fine.

Guessing this has something to do with write permissions for the PHP process?

I think a lot of the errors are that this version of vBulletin requires PHP 5.3 (even though their requirements state 5.1!) and my managed VPS runs on 5.2 and isn't updated unless asked for.

I have just done this so once that's done, I will re-test all these issues to see if they're resolved.

I logged out to check that there were no secure areas visible to guests and found there are no images visible for certain buttons, so looks like some of the the permissions are wrong for guests.

try now pen. I can access PM's ok. Profile pages work ok now too, but I had to disable the blog part of the site temporarily to get this to work as that's what's causing the issues.

Few minor ones:

*BF3 badges are showing words not images both here and in threads.
*clicking articles tab on forum shows: Fatal error:  Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 77824 bytes) in /var/www/vhosts/deadmen.co.uk/httpdocs/forum/packages/vbcms/widget/searchwidget.php on line 138

Aye we're increasing the memory allocation for the vms which should resolve those memory errors.

memory limit errors is noted, I've got a support ticket in to change this as they didn't update the old default value when they updated to php 5.3

once this is done, these errors should stop.

that one was easy. They were there but they were named BF3 at the beginning. The forum was expecting bf3 and as we've just gone from a Windows server (not case sensitive) to a linux server (case sensitive) then as far as the server was concerned, those files didn't exist!
