Seeding Team

Guys,

It's occurred to me that when we seed, our server fills up quickly.

I was wondering if we should set up a seeding team of sorts that can get the server going at say 7pm and then once's it's up to the mid twenties, drift away if desired. Would you guys consider a rotation or perhaps "agreeing to seed" on certain nights of the week (Friday Excluded!!)?

Perhaps we can seed Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays?

Let me know your thoughts and I'll edit this OP for times etc.

I think this is a good idea, what I think we need to think about though is a couple of factors.

Firstly, should one of the seeding team be an admin, secondly how do we get members to stop visiting other servers and visit ours to seed it and thirdly (links to one) should a regular seeder be given privileges to be able to swap the map to get momentum going?

I am around mon, weds, fri aswell as weekends.

I suggest a shift pattern as people around midweek such as me aren't around at weekends but more about mid week.

What do you guys think?

Already did that a few times but can do some more if needed.

What is the time before getting kicked for idling btw?

I can't guarantee that an Admin will be around to seed.
Idle kick can't be set higher than 300 seconds unless we change the server type to Ranked (possibly?)

Perhaps any interested seeders can simply post up their availability each week?

It worked again it seems.
When I left it was 6vs6 and now the server already has 22/32 players on it. Go :dmw:

Nope. Running an Official server limits the admin commands. Even tried to do a PB kick and it didn't work.

At least our server fills up quickly. Working on a strategy to changed to Ranked but need to secure the traffic first.
