Apparently I actually exist! Or maybe it was the drink?

Because reboots are always better than the original?

Shame - the trailer looked fresh and interesting.

Man of steal wasn't bad I must of been watching another movie. It was so poor IMHO and they gave the director batman vs superman which he has already destroyed. And also the just league movie as well.

Who keeps giving this guy superhero movie he has proven he can't do them.

I have to disagree, Snyder directed Watchmen, possibly the best comic book/superhero adaptation ever. He also did 300 (dumb but delightful to look at) and Sucker Punch (very odd, probably rubbish but amazing fight scenes) But yes Man of Steel was pretty dire.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Watchman had some good bits but was too dumbed down.  300 did some nice work some shots out of the graphic novel pages so yeah he has some visision, but when given one of the most important charaters from the DC universer and comes up with that, and if he does what he did to Batman which it looks like he is already starting (Afleck) then it will only get worse.  I have great misgivings about his choices so far and as this is the sequal to Man of Steel, I am not holding on to much hope.

But I think I have gone far to OT sorry.

I think a lot of movies lately are "dumbed down". Is it really needed for Americans to keep up with the plot? I really love movies where you have to pay attention to details to keep up, or at least to understand everything. Like how in Dark Knight Rises; they mention the autopilot fifty thousand times though-out the movie. Movies that right out surprise you with twists just instantly become better for it.

Being a reboot doesn't necessarily make it good though. I've learned to always watch superhero movies going in with low expectations. That really helps :p

Sounds like they should have given this adaptation to Christopher Nolan, can't be worse than the last Godzilla film (1998?) though surely??!

The film is ok(ish), middle 3rd of the film kills the momentum & the 2 leads might aswell be cardboard cut outs.

I really wanted to like the film, I love the old Godzilla films & went to school with the director, so I had high hopes for it, but it was all a bit "mehh" for me.
