Letter boxing is the problem. I love 16:10s, had one for ages and had to finally change it for a 16:9 because the front panel went fubar. Anyway, I had to fix a considerable number of games by using widescreen fixer, and some games were so headstrong that no amount of meddling about managed to remove the letter boxing on the sides.

Any specific games caused an issue? I'll be honest and say that I can't recall a single game that did not allow me to play in a 16:10 aspect ratio (ie no letterbox). You have probably player a wider variety of games then me though!

Although I can't think of any off the top of my head TL (as I have a 16:9 monitor so haven't ever seen 16:10 problems), it will be the console ports that have issues with 16:10. Think Ubisoft games, the Ass creeds etc. Anything that is designed for console first and PC second, basically.

Assassins Creed and Far Cry have both been fine on 16:10, that's what I have and play on native resolution. I haven't had any issues at 16:10 other than on really old games.

AC3 wasn't fine at all on my end, the previous ones worked fine. That's the last game I tried to play with a 16:10.

Nope..

It's on UbiSuck forums, since they don't support 16:10, they simply letterbox you down to 16:9. Hurray for consolitis.
