Gents if you could put your thoughts down what you think about the use of them that would be great.

Thanks

Worked well for me as a squad leader but obviousley can't comment on being one of the squad players.  It felt a lot more organised although at first I was struggling with keeping up with what people were telling me but after a while it all clicked into place.

Would be interesting to know what others thought though.

I thought at first I would miss the banter but being able to type messages in game made that possible still so still had a great laugh which is a big part of why I play, along with playing the game sensibly.

Wasn't online last night so can't comment. But I'd be interested to know what the new comms is about?

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Using 2 TS channels smilo, for 2 different squads.

I think its a great idea, as with so many people it can get messy. As was pointed out last night, we should avoid using in-game voice comms as (1) they are rubbish, and (2) it defeats the whole point of the 2 groups. Although this was tricky to do at times with everyone dead and us lot liking to chat!

In game text chat is a much better option, I think, for communication (chit chat) between groups when needed, and keeping the voice comms to the 2 TS groups. Worked well, I thought.

I'll defer to the people who were there and who played with two channels but on first pass it doesn't sound like a very good idea. While it's important to keep comms clean when we're in the action I'm there for the good company as well. The idea of being cut off from half my fellow players for the evening sounds miserable. Using text chat sounds like I've been transported back to 2005. Our game mechanic requires us to often be patient as we wait for revival, which can often take quite a while. Not being able to hear what's going on from half the team sounds like purgatory. If we had twenty or thirty people online it might make sense. But we barely get into double figures most evenings. Yes we should keep comms clean and no we shouldn't be guiding players when we're down. If people say it works and improves a fun Sunday night online with my friends I'll defer to those who've tried it. But it sounds like a terrible idea to me.

It was better than a 20 man FFA.

I liked it a lot more than the usual! it does present problems with picking people up however!

I liked it - we only heard what was relevant to our squad at the time, with Oldie relaying messages.

Gets my vote.

Was good, but missed some of the old banter between us all

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

smilodon

I defer to those who have actually tried it out of course. :D

What he said.

I'm sure we're all adult(ish) enough to be on one channel and be told to stfu when needed.
