OB has kindly setup a FSHost Server on the dMw game server :norty:

This is a proxy based client system that requires you to run a small piece of client software on your PC and input our server details into that client:

So go to http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/ and download FSHostClient1.4.zip  (http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/FSHostClient1.4.zip for the trusting).

Unzip this to somewhere Program ish and make a shortcut to the .exe

Start the client and simply keep the default port and input the server IP:

77.108.135.2

After you have input all this, search IP for sessions and you should see the server appear in the Sessions windows. Select that, input the password and connect.

Since this is still early stages and testing please use the same password as we've been used to on Sulky's server and if you don't know that catch one of us on TS. I'm sure the Admins will update the server page in due course with the full details.

Once connected you can go into Free Fly mode on FSX, FS2002 or FS2004 or Prapar3D and you'll see other players in your game. No fancy multi-player connections required direct from FSX.

There is also a nice plugin for Google Earth: https://fsxget.codeplex.com/ which, once running will allow you to track your flight path and everyone else in the game on Google Earth! Suggest you turn off all traffic in FSX otherwise you see a lot of other aircraft on Google Earth as well.

Come speak to me, Sparko or Sulky if you want a hand with all this.

Cheers,

Bert

I approve of what him upstairs said

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

Man, this is great. I've put an insane amount of hours into FSX over the years.  Just so you know, Air Hauler is excellent. Anything from Orbx too. Specifically the NA stuff in the mountains.

Its awesome I agree. The good thing about the fhost service is it maintains your own skins, models, textures and orbx whilst not killing the server. We should have a squad trip through the mountains. Doorman posted me a good route recently that goes nicely around lots of high and low spots, lakes and plateaus.

Mine's installed (and Windows updated a plugin needed).   Might see you on the runway....

The good thing is you can just play your own Freeflight but with the client running and logged everyone will see your location and if others join the server they will join your game not the server which is simply a location reflector with a bit of basic control over your client. Weather etc.
