Ben made a very suspicious "no comment" to the question of whether the Javelin would come up for sale next week.

Is it worth me trying to get one, or will we struggle to crew it? Is the Idris enough? The collector in me wants it, but I do wonder how fun it will be in reality.

The Idris would be melted, of course.

I will be very keen to see the Javelin I like it alot

Just seen. The obvious advantage for me would be the hangar rather then just (as if it's a small thing!) few bays. But I think crewif would be difficult like you say. I wonder how large the ships it could hold would be? Certainly a pretty looking thing!

I know.  I wish I could sell it to someone (it would have been at cost) instead.  I probably won't melt it to be honest.  Even if I do go for the Javelin, I might end up with both ;)  It's more likely that it would be an upgrade scenario, though.

I do want it, for a lot of reasons.  However, I just don't know how much I'd get to fly it - or even let the org fly it.  The crew requirements would be crazy and I'm fairly sure flying in the verse would be expensive to the point where we'd only ever use it if we had a good reason.  I can't imagine striking out into the unknown just to see what we would find - it would probably bankrupt us.

Then there's the fleet requirements - I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to fly that thing without a proper escort.

Might be a bit excessive.  Yet I can still picture getting one.

Might be an opportunity to test the Org's resolve and crowd fund either a Javelin or your Idris should you decide to buy a Javelin!

I'm afraid that it's impossible to sell my Idris - it's the P, so can't be gifted.  So nobody can buy it from me.  I guess you could pay me the cash to put towards a Javelin, but in all honesty I wouldn't be comfortable with that.  I guess we could crowd fund a Javelin, but it depends how much it costs.  I suspect most people wouldn't want to put anywhere near that much towards it - the game's not actually been released yet.

I obviously have no idea what other people's personal circumstances are, but it might be s a bit much to crowdfund and the more people put into it, the higher the stakes if the game turns out to be rubbish.  I don't mind putting the cash up because I'm an idiot and I earn a lot more than I used to :D  It's a dangerous combo.  The important thing is, I've not put anything into it that I'm not happy losing if the game is bad or I get bored of it in a month.

The more I think about it, the more I think I'll keep the Idris.  I might melt other stuff for the Javelin though, if it looks like it'll be worthwhile.

What's the maximum crew size we think we can manage?

TeaLeaf

Leep the Idris, you'll have fun with it and it is a great ship.   The Javelin might be awesome too, it is huge.

If I keep the Idris and get a Javelin too, I'll only have an avenger and a handful of hornets.  Sounds like a lot, but it'll not fill any kind of hangar deck...

I did this to that photo, by the way.

Just looked at this again and noticed the BYOB sign... np! :D See you there...

Limited quantity if they do and I would guess a price of circa $2,000.  Remember it's 100m longer than an idris: 240m versus 340m.
