Quick question on boundaries within Winternuke.

Are the CTs allowed through where the missiles are, before the bomb is called down?

I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

If you mean a direct rush from spawn through that area, I would say no. Further into the round or if a rush is called, maybe. Ask yourself if leaving a good area to protect one bombsite and moving towards T spawn is a good idea.

This may be in response to me running through that way last night. The way I was it was that since teammates had called out that the bomb was at the ramp that was the fastest way to get round there from where I was inside (I'd have had to run all the way around the building otherwise). Sorry if it was wrong, but I'm sure I see similar behaviour on regular nuke, so I assumed it was okay.

If the Bomb was down then yes you can make your way to it by the quickest route...but don't use that as an opportunity to go frag hunting.

Likewise for if it was spotted but think this one carefully as your teamate may have got it wrong....make sure by asking if the bomb carrier has definetly been seen.

My 2c ...

CTs would normally be split, covering two bombsites/routes. As a T, one of the tactical weapons in my armoury is a full-on rush at one bombsite/route. The numerical advantage coupled with speed *should* ensure a successful plant.

As a defending CT in this scenario, my first action must be to call a clear 'rush' at my position. I haven't got time to check if the bomb-carrier is there, I just need to let my team know that a T rush is in effect and where it's going. My next action is to try and slow the advance with FBs, HEs and gunfire. Why? Because having issued a 'rush' call, I'm expecting my fellow CTs to make all haste towards my position to counter the rush. In this situation I'd expect them to use *any* route available to them.  It's not flanking, it's support. As rushing Ts, we should make sure that the 'backdoor' is always covered.

The caveat to all this is the improper use of the 'rush' call because, yes, it's open to abuse. A CT could interpret a normal probing tactic as a rush and call it so. This would lead to cries of 'flankers', and rightly so.

In some respects it's on a par with 'bomb down' which should also cause all the CTs to flock to defend it's position. However, it should only be called when the bomb is on the ground without the possibility of it being immediately picked up again.

All common sense really, which is the simplicity of TCS. :)

It's a crazy idea, but I saw last night that I'm not the only person who doesn't like this map: Any chance of dropping it - changing it for regular nuke, or a completely different map?

Zok

Whilst most of my reviews are short and to the point, I thought that as this is a map that is currently in a  rotation of a game that I love dearly it deserves much more attention on my part, so here goes:

I don’t like it.
