A nice short flight in a 747-400 with ILS approach to runway 27.  Took off in the dark (20 mins before dawn) and watched the sun come up over Wales and the Irish Sea as I flew into Bristol.   Very nice indeed.  Flightplan was from Vroute, but if you use the 747-400 you'll need the full throttle, the full runway and a lot of flaps to get airborne before the end of the tarmac!   (I reckon I grazed my wheels on the treetops as I departed!)
