Guys,

I thought it might be good to have a random ideas thread for anything that we might want to consider for LAN XXX.

What about a Wednesday - Sunday LAN?

Yes it's another £50 quid but this is an epic LAN and some folks may want to mark the occasion and get there early.. (I am seriously considering it)

For LAN XXX it's an idea, but I think it would start to stretch budgets for most if we went longer for normal LANs.   This is the sort of thing we could decide to either decide ourselves or throw out to the members and ask what they want to do.  

We need to keep in mind that it can also backfire on LAN XXIX as some may decide to skip LAN XXIX to fund and ensure they can go to LAN XXX.

Sponsorship.  I think we need 'sciencePR the hell out of it' to get coverage and prizes.   Not to boost attendance numbers however!

We need a planned program of approaches to vendors or retailers.  
I'd love to see approaches to gaming mags/websites for an article idea, based around our longevity.

I'll be starting that this LAN as I'm working on the area on Wednesday. No point going home and then straight back again.

Definitely need to think about trying to borrow either an HD projector or e.g. a 65" screen for this LAN so that we can project games for others to see.

I'll ask what they have on this front just in case March has come into the 1990's and found out about projectors since we were last there.
