In case you missed the news, there was a new and previously unnamed and unseen ship announced at CitizenCon: the Aegis Sabre.

It is Aegis' answer to the Anvil Hornet, and is designed to go toe to toe with a Hornet, the differences being that it is a little faster and packs almost, but not quite the same amount of punch.

So, if you're planning on picking up a new ship and were thinking of getting the Hornet, then you might like to take a look at the Sabre instead.

And for those of you who are maybe a little disillusioned with your Hornet, the new Cross Chassis Upgrade system went live on Friday, meaning that you can now upgrade your ship to any other ship that is the same price or higher, and simply pay the difference; so you should be able to upgrade your Hornet to a Sabre (although the Sabre isn't hangar or flight ready just yet).

Heres the link to the Comm Link for the Sabre:

Yep - my Idris now has two Glaidus' for interception and two Sabres.  It's been an expensive week over here.

Obsydian

Wow! It sure has been expensive this month for me, too! :)

That Idris is unbelievably huge!  That was definitely a good buy.

I love it.  It's amazing.

The blurb says you will keep your LTI ...

QuoteHere you can buy an upgrade for one of your previously-purchased ships.
Buying and then applying this upgrade will transform your ship into a higher-end flyable ship, while retaining any of your limited items, access passes or insurance levels.

I quite like the look of this ship, particularly as it only needs one person to fly it (which is increasingly unusual).

I like it the shape is pleasing it is smaller than the Vangaurd and single seater.  Didnt like the feel of my 300 even with all the addons.

Yeah, more and more of the ships from here on in are likely to be multiplayer and, hence, bigger!
