We might want to have a chat with Imperium to discover what they are planning to make sure we're not reinventing the wheel?   Or did you have more localised things in mind Oldie?

I absolutely do not want to reinvent the wheel but, where possible, I like to be in full control of the data. Also, my experience of using other people's solutions is that you end up having to change the way you want to do things just to suit the software.

At the moment I'm just putting out feelers to see if we've got people with the skills and the desire to build what we want should we need to go down that route.

I have the skills as I'm a software developer, and have experience of php and MySQL, but those skills are a little rusty as I'm now more into .net and mvc websites (much easier to build with than php).

Not sure if I want to mix work with pleasure, but I'm happy to dabble as and when required.
