Monthly Star Citizen Pub Meet - Crawley, West Sussex - 9th January 2016

I just wanted to let you know that I shall be hosting another pub meet for Star Citizen fans in Crawley on Saturday 9th January @ 3pm (details here or here).

Although we're predominantly about Star Citizen, we discuss other games too, so if you're in the area and fancy a pint or two, feel free to drop by.

Timing mainly - the last one coincided with CitizenCon and previous ones (I think there have only been two since I joined dMw) clashed with family stuff.  I'll get to one soon!

Have you ever considered moving the meet closer in than Crawley? Our usual compromise with friends who lived in that band just south of London (at least until they had kids) was somewhere near Waterloo - that way no-one has to transfer between train/tube. I guess it depends where your usual crowd come in from, but I thought I'd suggest it on the off-chance

Not really - Crawley is where I live!

A friend and semi-regular attendee of the Crawley gatherings, Matt Kennett, did try organising a mid-week evening meetup in London (the premise being that people value their weekend time, and those who work but don't live in London could stay late and attend).  Unfortunately it hasn't proved popular (everyone wants it in their own neck of the woods!) and Matt has had other things to attend to, so they have slipped for a while now.  I believe that he's planning on reviving the London meets in the new year, so I'll post them up here when he does.  Aternatively, join the meetup group, and you'll be notified of all meetups as they are scheduled.

All that said, if you would like to organise something in your area, you're more  than welcome to use our Meetup.com group (I can set you up as an Event  Organiser).
