Liberator

You get off your Argentavis to try and take down a Dimorphodon to tame, the Dimo strikes back and your faithful bird comes it to attack it.

You then see both of them spiralling around and rising upwards with the Dimo getting in strike after strike on its rear end, while the Argen is trying desperately to wheel around on it and failing.

That's when you realise you are out of range to whistle it back to a "passive follow" and is slowly climbs out off sight...........

Panic!

The run back to your base jumping down rock faces and breaking bones, realising you don't care cos it will get you back quicker if you did die. All the time you are watching for those awful red words to appear on the screen "Your Argentavis was killed by Dimorphadon lvl1". You hammer the '0' button to stuff your face with berries to recover.

More Panic!

You get back to your hut, break out the Pteranodon saddle and put it on Pterry or Pjune, Pjune is the higher level faster one, so I throw it on and climb on board, still recovering from the broken bone but now back to over 10% health.

Resignation

As you fly over to where it all happened and see a still alive Dimorphodon slowly flying back and there is no sign of your bird.
You start a search pattern and see nothing.

Relief

You desperately fly straight upward, losing view of the ground in the mist, from where it all started and just when you give up hope. The outline of a hovering Argentavis starts to appear and as you get closer you recognise him by the glasses he's wearing.

A whistle and he tucks in behind you, you slowly fly back to your shack and land Pjune, then jump up onto him hovering over you and land him on the roof as well.

Then you look at his health bar and realise he's still recouping health, he's gone through about 10 raw meat since you last checked him.

The wonder

If I'd stayed in that area a little longer, would it have got him killed, did running out of draw distance to get your other dino save him from death just in time.

The Realisation

It's a game and you got all worked up about losing a numeric array in a games database. But you don't care, it's your numeric array and it's still alive to greet you the next time you log in.....

That awful moment when....you are grinding thatch  on thanks giving week and a turkey strays into your path. You hit it accidental and it starts to attack you. Thinking it just a turkey you start firing arrows, you go through a stack and wonder if it's bugged, then you start to hit it with your pike.

Panic!

You're down to 50% health when you realise there is no damage on the turkey, you start to panic and decide that the large group of tamed dinosaurs at your beach house should easy deal with the pesky turkey.

You run back triumphant in your sound plan to dispose of the "super" turkey. Smiling with glee when 10+ dinos charge the stupid bird. Boy is that turkey in for a plucking....

More Panic!

..and then all hell breaks lose. The turkey is getting smashed all over the place, probably launched by the triceratops charges. As the pets are running up and down the beech you start to notice that they have taken damage but the turkey has barely a scratch.

It's at this point you wonder what the game has thrown at you and you desperately try to keep up with them to set them to passive. Slowly "one buy one" you start to lure your dinos away from the turkey, hoping it will eventually leave them alone.

Relief/Resignation

In the end you leave 1 dilo attacking the turkey while you lead that last mammoth away. You head back to save your faithful Dilo but not before the dreaded pirate super turkey finishes it off and turns on you. You are done for and succumb to its evil peck.

The wonder (....at the Carnage)

After re-spawning you go fetch your gear, humbled by the experience you stear clear of the Super Turkey and let it go on it's way. And then you count the damage....

1 Carni
1 T-Rex
1 Alpha Raptor
3 Dilos
1 Sarco
1 Tri

there might have been some dodos as well.

It's now 1am, you hadn't meant to stay up that late but disaster struck at the wrong time. You leave messages to your tribe to apologies and explain the sad story. You go to bed....

but the disaster doesn't end there, in your tired relieved state you forgot to turn the dinos off passive and during the night you lose the mammoths to a level 1 dilo.

The Realisation

What do you do after such a thing, well you get up, brush the sand from your backside and survive (as well as learning the whistle commands.......)

That Awful Moment When
You realise you need some more prime meat if you're ever going to see this Quetzacoatlus tame end before 5am

Panic
You head off on your Argentivis franticly searching for something simple to kill like a stego, except there are none, you're three quarters round the mountain now, freezing so far away from your make shift camp setup at the tame (spike walls and all)

More Panic
You remember that you still need to keep stuffing that big bird full of narcotics, and if you don't well...

Relief
You approach the Quetz, you're going to make it, it's going to be alright

Horror
You land but the Quetz takes off.

Double Horror
It just flew off with about 350 Narco pastes courtesy of another Tribe Member...

(Great idea for a thread btw!)

That Awful Moment When
You realise you are hunting with your pack of 5 dire wolves and surrounded by some very hungry megapiranha's...

Panic
While on a little hunt across the island (from the north towards the keep) you have to cross a river and you get surrounded and nuked by 6 to 8 megapiranha's..

More Panic
After the first river just barely survived with all wolves still alive, and in the back of your head the thought that someone in the tribe just lost his big wolves that way, and you are really not willing to take that same path...
But then the same thing happens when you have to cross river number 2, at that point you start to freak out a bit.

Relief
That after the second horror story you turn around and see that all of the pack had maked the journey across the river.

The wonder
What if i hadn't jumped off the main wolve to help out by hand, what would have happend then, 5 dead wolves and 1 dead player...

The Realisation
That crossing a river with your wolves aint the best thing to do in this game, that you stay clear of rivers next time or you just take a bird.

I like to lead by example haha (I need new wolves, might have to visit you in the north :-D )

That awful moment when
You realise the lovely red sunset you can see out of your window at 01:00 and coming from the South isn't actually a sunset......

Panic
It's quite easily identifiable as an Alpha Carno and your trusty scope says it's a lvl10 Alpha, it's looking back at you at the same ground level.

More Panic
The only way you can get out of the house to attempt to get it is by opening the main gate.

Resignation
You're gonna lose some dinos here as soon as you open that door and have an expensive house repair bill.

Relief
You manage to get out of the door and close it again on the Quetz without it advancing on your base.

More relief
You peck away at it for a good while and it decides to run away from your base.

Anger
You lead it to an area where you can get out the sniper rifle on the back of the Quetz and blow the mother away.

Joy
The 31 prime you get off it all makes it to the fire and you lose nothing, you also realise it gave you a bit of a boost to that next level.

The realisation

You need to get that Giga wall built around your base.... and repair you rifle.
