To 'Modify' the Situation

Hi all!

So again I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in full but as myself and paddy have been talknig about for the last couple of days I thought i'd make a post to see how many people are interested in this ideas.

Recently I have been playing a modpack called Tekkit. It's a pretty serious modpack that adds a huge amount to the game whilst still keeping the vanilla aspect alive. There are three main areas of interest in this mod pack:

1. Industrialization - the big main change to the Minecraft feel is the amount of machines you can make which work together to create/design new resources/building materials.

2. Dimensional Travel - Amongst the industrialization there is the ability to go inter-dimensional, creating new and exciting dimensions to explore and gather resources.

3. Space Travel - Finally, the big part of the modpack for myself, GALACTICRAFT is a mod that allows you to build rockets and spacestations as well as be able to travel to the moon and mars which both have different variants of physicalities (Different gravities, different amounts of oxygen and different mobs and tasks)

If there is a possibility that we could use this modpack I could help out with the set up of this modpack for server usage as I already have experience in setting up and running my own tekkit server back in the day.

Anyways the main objective of this post was to see how many people (in list confirmation form) would like to try out tekkit...

If you're looking to include this on the dMw server then it's really up to Sulky to decide as he's the Senior admin / game leader  for Minecraft.

I doubt it's an issue but ultimately it's his call do he's the one you need to butter up.

My thinking is that we have a modded server ( whether it be tekkit or what) in which people can chose if they want to play in survival or creative. That way we are pretty much catering for everyone that plays. But as pen says the decision will be down to dad (sulky) if the server survives the trial period 😃

I'd be really happy to see a Tekkit Survival server for us to use! Though, I'd like the existing buildings to remain somehow. For example,  I know I'd like to keep my big Japanese Temple, Puff would want to keep his house and White House, and I'm sure Paddy would like to keep his 40,000 odd square ect etc. It'd be a shame to have hours worth of building to just disappear... However, as Add rightfully mentioned, with Tekkit, new ores and Biomes Spawn in, meaning that the chunks we've loaded in on this creative server won't have new things, which would mean that we have to travel a while to get new stuff.

Would be nice to have some more complicated stuff like quarries and that lot on the server. Would make it more of a challenge to build stuff.
