Hey everyone.

I know a few of you from IRC where I've been idling and chatting for a number of years. More recently there's a few more of you I've met in CS:GO and (since this evening) Overwatch. It was finally time to get a bit more involved, join the forum, and get on teamspeak! Glad to meet you all. Here's a few bullet-points about me:

  • I'm 31
  • I live in Swindon with the g/f
  • I'm a chemistry researcher at a university
  • I grew up near Milton Keynes, went to uni in Oxford, did my PhD in Australia (Brisbane), and worked in Peterborough until I moved here last year.
  • I've been PC gaming since I was 12 or 13 so I've been around a while
  • Other hobbies are brewing beer, astronomy (and astrophotography), board games, etc.

My most played games of all time are probably (in chronological order, rather than most played order): Action Quake 2, Ultima Online, Warcraft 3, DOTA (original version), World of Warcraft, Diablo 3, lots of 4X (Civ, Europa Universalis, Crusader Kings, etc.) and until the start of this year an absolute s**tload of DOTA2, which I stopped playing when I realised how much it frustrated me rather than enjoying it :)

Anyway. That's pretty much it. Hope I can fit in and contribute in some way!
