Mine is a "LG Flatron 34UC97-S 34" WideScreen Super-Wide Curved LEDMonitor". I've had it coming up to 2 years so there are better options available now but I still love it and would only replace with another Super-Wide curved.

Do nVidia support freesync as I believe it's the open standard as opposed to their own gsync?

Gunda

nope they only support gsync

Whitey your monitor looked gorgeous at the lan. When I next have disposable income (I'm saving so this will be a while) I'll upgrade along a large curved monitor route for sure.

After much deliberation I went for an Acer XB271HK - Amazon

Seemed there were so many good reviews for this monitor, and it ticked the 4K and G-Sync box. I found it locally in NL for â,¬739.

not bad money for a nice 2 year old 60hz monitor with no gsync or freesync. seems to get decent reviews from what i can see.

That's a good price. I had the 1440P version of this and it is awesome.

I think that depends on what you want from a monitor upgrade mate...

Do you want a curved screen? 4k? 140+hz refresh? GSync / whatever the AMD equivalent is?

Answer these questions first, then find the monitors that tick all of the right boxes. Don't just buy one because it has cash off, or you will regret it when you realise it doesn't have that one thing you wanted. Monitors are purchases that last years, and should be a high priority and properly researched IMO, not just bought on a whim.
