Events

Hi all. I really think we need to organise specific dates and times for server events. For example this recent giga tame.. That's a great team event, if we can make it publicly known when it's going to happen, more people may show up and feel more like part of a team etc...

As we don't need a set night for these I think we could just pick any night and post about it 2 or 3 nights in advance... for example this Saturday at 1900 we will take a giga. Or even things like mass Argie tames, Quetz tames...so on.. lots we could do!

Thoughts? Am happy to post up an event for the giga if needed (unless already done?)

I agree that this helps people plan. The only thing is these animals might not be around when the event is scheduled. We looked for the giga a few days before the first attempt and it was nowhere to be seen. I suppose you have to try it and see.

That can be in the event description- we will start with a mass giga hunt...

It would be a good group event and mark the first in a long line.

What can people provide for the giga tame on Monday? I have a few hundred narcos I will give and I can quickly make arrows etc too. I have a pteranodon and Eagle for use also.

Can anyone else contribute so we have enough stuff? Not everyone involved will have played as much, but as it's a team effort ideally we can all help out?

Although if you have stuff you want to keep back that's ofc ok we just need to know what we have so we can fill any gaps!

From our experience last time, you will need a lot more tranq arrows than the calculators say unless you can trap it and fire non-stop without any breaks and with more than one shooter. We went through up to 1000 arrows on the level 25 but there were long breaks when he went in the water. Make sure you have a number of crossbows for each person shooting as well as you tend to only get about 100 arrows before they break (primitive).

I reckon that's a good plan, fun to at least try it. Can you make us a few?

I have around 300 tranq arrows and will have 6 or 7 crossbows to donate... we need more, I will do what I can but definitely need others to contribute if able?

I have a Apprentice longneck rifle and a couple hundred tranquil darts which I can donate if I'm not back in time.

I have a Pistol, not sure that can be used for darts or not, I imagine they are more accurate than crossbows(?) I have about 200 Narcotic Arrow collected. Plus a few bows made.

A trap will only last for about 10 seconds. if you're planning on trapping then the four metal dino gate method in conjunction may be the solution.
