As we have so many people coming to this LAN we want to avoid the situation where you cannot get the steak you want because the kitchen has run out of that particular cut.  We've therefore decided to try to pre-order as many steaks as possible so that the hotel can make sure that they have sufficient stock of YOUR preferred cut so that they do not run out.  Because we are pre-ordering we've been able to secure a better range of cuts for you to choose from, so we hope you like the extra choice!

Anyone who does not pre-order will have to take pot-luck with whatever cuts are still available from the kitchen on the night.

Guide to Steak Cuts
Fillet - This is the most lean and tender of all the steak cuts and the most expensive.

Sirloin - Comes from the upper middle of the cow which is a part of the cow that doesn’t do as much as e.g. rump, so it is very tender and well-marbled with fat.

Rib Eye - Comes from a cow's rib section, has a rich flavour and is very tender because there are pockets of fat throughout the cut.

Porterhouse - This is a huge, thick steak which has both sirloin on one side and fillet on the other.
