Braving the Shave

Hi guys,
A very rare serious post from me, and serious isn't my strongest point so, err.. lets just go.

Last year a member of my football team was diagnosed and received treatment for malignant melanoma of the neck, the most dangerous type of skin cancer. Luckily for him, early diagnosis meant he was given a more positive outlook and hopefully his brush with cancer, remains just that!
The whole experience was a tough one, not only for him, but also for his family. MacMillan provide support not only for cancer sufferers, but also their families who suffer alongside them. The work they do is amazing and so important, and seeing this first hand has inspired him to try and do something to support them. Nearly everyone will know someone who has relied on this amazing organisation at some point!
We decided to complete the 'Brave the Shave' campaign, as a team to not only show our support to a team member, but to raise money for an amazing charity.

So on the 25th September we will all be taking part in a public shaving.
So if you'd like to see just how ridiculous my head will look bald, and support a great organisation at the same time, please donate! Please support us however big or small the donation, every penny counts! I can collect money at the LAN if you can't donate on the website for what ever reason.

For reference, here is a picture of me now (The one with the bumfluff beard). I know I don't have much hair anyway, but bald is very different to a grade 2. After pictures will also be posted of myself and the rest of the team.

Great weekend for Minster Football Club, 13-0 Win on the Saturday, 10 bald heads and Mohawk on the Sunday! Oh and smashing the £3000 target, nearing the £4000 mark with money still to come!
