Electric India is great. I'm with Ben though, if you haven't tried their amber, you're missing out :)

Bit to far away from me!

Had that Buxton Quad last night with some Overwatch, spectacular beer. Barrels of flavor and doesn't sit too heavy (which for an 11% is quite something). Would drink again.

I'm close enough, but there's no way I'll get time off for this in addition to the LAN!

Norway friends, I'm just tucking into an excellent sour beer from the Aegir brewery. Heard of them?

Among my favourite breweries. I think Ægir Natt (norwegian for Night) is probably the best Imperial Porter I've ever had.

If it was their sour cherry rye, I didn't like it much the first time I had it, but my taste in sour beers has evolved since the so I might have to retry it.

Some background:
Ægir is one of the earlier craft breweries of Norway. They came up alongside Nøgne Ø and Haandbryggeriet at the start of the beer boom.
Me and Duvel actually discussed visiting them when he was in Norway, but I couldn't fit it in my calendar. It's still on my to-do list. They're located in Flåm, a very popular tourist destination at the end of the prettiest rail journey in Norway (Flåmsbanen, an offshoot of Bergensbanen going from Bergen to Oslo).

They brewery was founded by a crazy american who had married a Norwegian girl and ended up there. Even the facility is viking themed (the brewery is named after Ægir, a jotun in Norse mythology known for hosting huge parties for the gods), at one point being situated in a replica longhouse.

Chaos and TL should be familiar with a couple of their brews, I had some of the more special bottles with me a couple of years ago, including a wasabi saison :)

Installing now. Spend most of my days now in breweries but they are big boys in the games, but prefer to drinking randomly when out if its not stella ;D

So I will try some of your suggestions!

Prepare to add some serious tasting notes for four consecutive days, at the LAN!

I had one of those wasabis..  My tasting notes can be summed up as 'awful'.

So far from being my cup of tea,  that one made me feel ill.

Nogne's ipa is brilliant though, easily one of my favourites.  Their 2 captains , Tiger tripel,  and wit are all also great beers.  Shame they're so bloody pricey over here!!!

Me and Kake had Nøgne Ø's signature beer last weekend. Dark Horizon, one of the heavier stouts. Differences to each batch since they're tweaking it. Comes out every couple of years.
So, we had the 5th Edition, and it was beautiful :)
