The Herald will be an info runner but also and I quote "science and exploration vehicle" "if you want to be first out there, mapping, selling research" "Equipped with things to prevent you being murdered, the sly roguish type, science and research"

I am so happy as I want a solo exploration science research ship and this should turn out perfect.

The X85 looks delightful at 5:20.

And don't even mention the Caterpillar! Anyone with one of these should be super happy.

The little volume control in my head marked 'Star Citizen' just lit up reminding me that I had set it on a pretty low setting and that it was time to revisit that decision.

I suggest just getting on there OB. Forget your Hotas or controls, just use the defaults Keyboard and Mouse and enjoy the game without all the setup, it'll all change anyways. Keyboard and Mouse are easy to use anyway and if you know the keys when you do come to use a HOTAS you'll know what you haven't mapped to joystick and will already know the key.

Good advice. Thanks :thumb:

I was on earlier and went aboard a Starfarer with a bunch of lads, it's pretty big. I took the helm flew around for a bit and somehow hit something and we all died. No idea what I hit, visibility was terrible and in 3rd person actually seeing what direction I was flying was tricky in such a bit ship. We should take one out as a group whilst they are parked and there to try.

I've managed to have a couple of goes now. The flight system is spot on already. EVA needs a bit of work, as well as some collisions. But its really promising as far as a pre-alpha goes.

The instrument upgrades they're hopefully rolling out, as well as adding in the stations across the ships should help a lot too. But honestly, TL's advice is sound.
