And there's me being the anti-trendsetter with a Pixel C on my 'to buy' list when spare slush funds become available.    The Nexus 7 we have has had very high levels of use and I fancied adding a 10" as it is slightly easier to browse on.   Maybe the downer on them will knock their price down and then I can pick one up on the cheap!

Can't argue with that. My Nexus 7 is little more than a media consumption device, email machine and coffee shop web browser. The only thing I occasionally miss is a keyboard. So what I actually need is a Chromebook :D

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

For me the Surface has replaced my want to buy anything else.

I have a Nexus Tablet,  have a Kindle Fire and an iPad. Now they're all sitting in the drawer an unlikely to see much daylight.

I still have a Samsung Galaxy Tab-S 8" and I'm finding it more and more useful for work these days as we moved our corporate services to G-Suite with Google. Also we use Facebook for Work to communicate so that works great on a tab. Other than that, I read on it mostly. Even gaming I don't do much of because the PC is better and on a train the phone does the job. I can see the guys reasoning but I also think he didn't get a tab for good reasons which is a) for a specific purpose like mobility at work or b) because you don't need a laptop or desktop.
Cheers, Bert
